Yas, for me dis is good!

What do you think about the FourFourTwo article Brett's Back On Track?
BRETT Emerton's World Cup preparations are back on track with the experienced Socceroos midfielder getting back to full training two weeks out from the opening match of the tournament against Germany.

Have your say.

I'm not quite sure I'd go that far, but he's definitely an integral part of the essential spine.

I agree, however we are almost a different team with him playing (when fully fit).

He is absolute quality. He is one of few players in our starting XI who likes to have a crack at beating his man with the ball at his feet. He adds a lot of attacking impetus to our lineup.

Brett Emerton is the best winger to ever play for Australia. He is quick, his touch is like glue and his passing is 99% accurate.

It's good to see that he adds a bit of mongrel to his game, too.

With Emerton and Chippers running down the wings, we will have a huge boost. Both of them are high quality and will free up the attacking mids, causing headaches for the defenders. It will be interesting to see how much this will improve the team's performance tomorrow night. A lot, I guess.

Not quite... he's good but not our best, even in our current team. Don't forget Kewell is a winger. hopefuly both will be fully fit come our first game.

Is it true both Kewell and Emerton were in the same youth team in western Sydney back in the day? If so, would of been shit playing against that team with these two lads charging down each wing.

This is great news but match fitness is the key. I just hope the socceroos can play like they did against Ireland on a consistent basis.

We have a big chance against Ghana and Serbia. Especially Serbia considering they struggle when they are frustrated.

I pray for a draw againt Germany and a win against Ghana, all comes down to that last match.

Brilliant. He is like Chippers, Cahill, and Wilkshire: fantastic all over the park. Now that we see that Culina is best working the ball down the wing and we've seen Emmo score from the centre, I'd like to see this formation:
?-Neill-Beauchamp-Carney
-------Wilkshire
--------- Cahill
Culina - Emerton - Chippers
-Kewell/Kennedy/Rukavytsya

Goals, goals, goals. Wilkshire could sit in DM and stop any attack dead and Cahill and Emmo easily have the engine to track back and help out whenever we're off teh ball. No need for Lolman!

I'm not praying for a draw against Germany, I think we'll beat them!!!

Well given that Verbeek won't deviate from the 4231: Culina should be at right back, with license to make overlapping runs like Lahm. Wilkshire and Grella could be the two holding midfielders.

---------Schwarzer-----------
Culina-Neill-Moore-Chippers--
----Wilkshire----Grella-------
---Emerton--Cahill--Kewell---
--------Kennedy------------
I don't like Moore there, and Grella could be subbed for Jedinak/Valeri. If Kewell is injured I'd look at Bresciano or Carney out wide.
