Sports Bar at Crown is always the fallback position also.

Station Hotel (opposite Prahran train station) will be showing at least the Dutch games. Don't go if you're not gonna be supporting the Dutch though.

Who said you can't drink at Birrarung Marr?

c'mon it's a public park. it's between a river and train tracks. and there'll be a strong police presence. do you really expect them to let people bring alcohol??
i can't find any official word on the issue (neither a yay or a nay) but I would be shocked if they planned to let people bring alcohol. if you want to find out for sure, here's the city of melbourne's info number 9658 9658

Birrarung Marr.

Like a pub, but you can smoke.

except you cant drink and it will be 4 degrees, just contacted a few not having much luck. The Local in Port Melbourne is licenced to show all Australian games but apart from that will only show the early games.

and you can't drink. :( but as far as i'm aware birrarung marr won't be playing non-socceroos matches which sucks. i did send an email to fed square to see if they will have non-socceroos matches on their screen but they never replied.
i work at transport and im pretty sure we're not showing any of the 4:30 matches. the reason for this is we have a 1am lockout anyway. the other games will be on but i doubt the audio will be on, especially not on weekends when we have djs etc.
sports bar in crown would be the only one i can think of.
sux really.
