As much as I don't like them, I don't want them banned. As is the case with that annoying noise the Arabs employ (which is far worse than the vuvuzelas IMO), and even Waltzing Matilda.

It was awesome to hear the Aussie fans last night, at one stage, drown out the sound of the vuvuzelas.

Yes Australia clearly won the battle of the anthems.

They just sound like my Dad on the toilet... After he's had a curry.

It's all well and good having them, the problem is that they are just non-stop noise. Can't be good for anyone's ears.

Here's hoping the world cup never returns to the continent! I kid but its bloody annoying!

the excuse by some "You get use to the sound the longer the games goes on" is a half-arse pile of crap. Just like smoking, they should ban this inside the stadium as a health hazard to the viewers of the game :P

I respect that its part of their football culture but fat chance I'll be embracing it any time soon!

They aren't a sound. They are just fucking noise, and an annoying one at that.

What do you think about the FourFourTwo article 'Vuvuzela Should Be Embraced'?
LOCAL organisers of this summer's World Cup have again called on critics of the vuvuzela to "embrace it", insisting it is here to stay.

Have your say.
