I'm happy for chile, they deserved the win. I enjoyed watching the game and the atmosphere wasn't all destroyed by vuvuzelas :P

What do you think about the FourFourTwo article Chile End Nearly 50 Years Of Pain?
JEAN Beausejour secured Chile's first World Cup win since 1962 as the South Americans made an impressive 1-0 tournament entrance against Honduras this afternoon.

Have your say.

Was it just me, or did the goal deflect off Beausejour's butt? But it was a good win. Unlucky to not have of scored a couple of more goals.

Vamos Chile!! Great performance but should have picked up 1 or 2 more goals. Sanchez really impressed but sometimes took one too many touches.

Certainly one of the better, more open games to watch of the World Cup so far. Chile were good for their win and probably should have scored a few more. Sanchez was great, but he's a filthy theatrical diving cheat - at least it came back to bite him - he should have got a free kick in the 2nd half on the edge of the penalty area, but the ref let it go because his tumble just looked ridiculously over the top. Fair free kick, but needless dive.

Yeah, Sanchez did take too many touches at times. But, some others were guilty of doing so in the box too. Few of them could scored goals if they had just take a shot rather then try to control the ball in the box with their first touch.

Personally, I was hoping to see Estrada in midfield. But that is probably just my La U bias showing! Disappointing thing for me was not seeing Suazo get subbed in. I guess wit the control Chile had, makes sense that they didn't risk him.

Hope that he plays for the next game. Since Bielsa had said that Suazo had a shot at playing in this game, I'm thinking he might be ready for the match against the Swiss.

It was like watching a team of Nicky Carles.

I amazed that they didn't run out of legs because they sure ran a lot. Credit to them, they played with a lot of heart and it was a really enjoyable game to watch.

+1. One of my favourite performances of the tournament so far... Chile were just instinctively and magnetically drawn towards the goals... over and over again. Non-stop action. Good on 'em.
