Rory you are a bit strange, but i love your attitude!!! go get em What do you think about the FourFourTwo article Fallon: We Can Beat Italy? NEW Zealand striker Rory Fallon believes the All Whites have spotted the weaknesses that will allow them to beat Italy with the big forward confident of progressing to the knockout stage of the World Cup.Have your say.

Italy by far had the best passing of the jabulani I've seen from all the teams, pinpoint passes controlled perfectly, and in rainy conditions also.
I am quite confident that Italy will beat NZ. Italy and Slovakia are worlds apart on the football pitch.
And if anyone wants to bring up the confeds cup as their argument, please. Italy did not care at all about that tournament which means nothing. This tournament however does. The only thing going for NZ is that Buffon is out, but Italian second choice keepers have a knack of having awesome performances at major tournaments when called upon.

No Buffon :(
Italy 1-0 most likely, the baldish midfielder for New Zealand is pretty good for a bloke with no club.

Yes Rory, I think you're mad...but I love the attitude. Having such an attitude is the only way we will have any chance, though anything can happen in football; Switzerland beat Spain last night. Sadly though we are no Switzerland to Italy's Spain but I think Pirlo is out too which could aid our cause. Forza Nuova Zelanda!

Erebus, they looked like they cared when they came back from the dead against the US
And in this instance, I would have to say, I am generally hoping some of this positivity the Kiwi's are displaying will rub off on our players. our players have zero belief in themselves thanks to Pim's brilliant managerial and motivational skills. i guess it doesn't help when your manager says the opposition is better team before kick off.

Would love to see NZ do just what Fallon said and scalp another arrogant big Euro team to add to the list of bruised egos including Spain England etc. Go big or go home Kiwis!!

anything less than a top 4 finish is not satisfactory for italy this time around.
they always start slow, then go full tilt...but bloody hell, the way they play sometimes really gives me the shits. they've got the ability to push forward and defend like a brick wall, but as soon as they start to slack off, THEY REALLY SLACK OFF. the floodgates open, and any team can get past them.
anyway, forza italia and all that.

Erebus, I don't remember NZ playing Italy at the Confeds Cup... Hope NZ can somehow upset the dirty cheating Italians as retribution for 2006.
