I think we like a physical and high tempo game. I would say a “mans” game but that’s unfair to the Matlidas because they play the Australian way too.
And we don’t expect them to play for a low score like Indonesia did against us nor to feign injury or dive. But we are fine with dirty tackles and profanity towards officials it seems.
We also expect the team to go for late consolidation goals when they are getting hammered i.e. don’t give up. Excessive thrashings of Minnows are also cool with us, we don’t like “taking it easy” and we hate losing friendlies. We always say it's about the performance and other pre friendly bs but I always want the roos to win.
The other thing is due to may different factors like immigration and the distance between the states there is no universal view on playing the Australian way, we make it up based on what we feel personally.
