Who'da thunk it. Tbh, we don't have anyone good enough to play lone striker at the World Cup. Kennedy wasn't good enough. Hate to bring him up, but its a pity Dukes couldn't put in a few more seasons... Even Viduka didn't work taht well as a lone striker and played better with Kewell or Aloisi next to him. But no passion, no selection. Kennedy no doubt wasn't at the level that we'd hope to have a striker at, but that's not to say he wasn't useful. If we'd had McDonald playing Cahill's role tonight, and Cahill also playing Cahill's role tonight in a 4-3-2-1 formation, things could have been much more interesting against Germany.

Playing strikers up front instead of midfielders works better.
Who'da thunk it.
