I love the Socceroos but also have a lot of love for my country of origin.

Italy deserved to be where they are because the Football establshment in Italy let Lippi do what he wanted; eg selecting his Juve over the hill mates.Also, they have too many foreign players and young Italian players don't get opportunities to develop at the higher levels. Moratti and others have a lot to answer for here!

Australia unfortunately got PIM the dill who all by himself stuffed our chances in the Germany match for a lot of the same reasons Italy failed.

Please don't bash teams when they fail, always look to the real reasons behind their failure.

I don't get any joy when teams loose. Good luck to Slovakia, they played very well and deserved the win.

I just pray and hope that the FFA and Frank Lowy now chose the best person as the new Socceroo manager. If not, more crap in future.

Yeah Suck shit you Greasy Divers. We will bash whichever team we like. Especially the Italians. They knocked us out of the last world cup by cheating and denied our Kiwi brothers 3 points with a cheap equalising penalty. Italy out, France out.. Both of thier coaches are to blame in my humble opinion. Neither of the two asshole even shook the hands of thier opposing managers, what a joke. As Fossie said the other night of Domenech "pig of a man", as for Lippi, I really hope he has some shares in bullet proof glass or moves to Switzerland otherwise he could be in trouble.. I dont mind italian football tho it can be boring. The italains clearly are not the team they once were. For the life of me i dont know why? they have a squad of SerieA best players.

I personally believe defensive football is the worst way to play. At times it work even if its dull however defensive football against teams like NZ and Slovakia is just stupid italy only came back when they started to attack.

Italian football needs to change not only for win much but to win fans. The SerieA has a very low crowd average considering its such a big league most likely due to the anti football tactics.

The situation of the game paralleled the Aust vs Serbia game. Team on 1 point plays a technically better team and takes it to them. Amazing, what pressure does to you. Italy would have progressed if they had lost an earlier game. The Azzuri started to come alive after they were 2-0 down. There'll be a post-mortem at home now and how they re-build from this disaster, we'll see next Euro.

Mate, that last game alone would have been enough to confirm that the Italian team are scum. With their goal, one bloke then came and pushed the keeper over and the next bloke charged in and stepped on him. They both should have got reds but in the end the keeper ended up getting a yellow. Absolutely disgusting. The more teams like Italy start losing the better for the game.
