What's up with you? Do you have any football knowledge? Are you too young to remember these people? If you don't know what he's like, go on Wikipedia, type his name in or to make it easier for you, just copy and paste. Then low and behold, a page totally devoted to him appears, WOW!!! Just keep in mind, a few things are can be innacurate. But you will still be able to find out what he's generally like.

DO SOME RESEARCH FFS!!! ](*,)

Back on topic though, this could be an interesting signing, he's a proven goalscorer at NSL/VPL level but it will be interesting to see how he goes in Asia.

Strangely enough, I think Archie Thompson would be at his best if he plays on the right wing full time. He likes to take players on, he always has that tendency to push towards the right and he certainly has the workrate to play on the wing.

And this would allow Melbourne to play with a strong Dutch formation (if Ernie knows how to execute one) with Archie and Caceres playing as the wingers and Allsop or Curcija in the middle. This could also benefit Archie's push for national team selections as he would fit right into Verbeeks plans.

He'd spend to much time cutting inside, and if he's playing on the right wing that would meant hat he's got to stay there rather than moving around onto the left or into the middle of the park playing the free-role that he likes so much.

If I hear that Dutch Bullshit one more time i'm going to blow a fucking gasket. "Dutch formation"?? Get fucked, there's no such thing!! There is nothing that defines Dutch football. As i've said before, the closest thing to a "Dutch" brand of football is Cruyff's "total football", which you will never see australia playing.
And for the record, i'm not sure how archie playing on the right in what you seem to have described as a 4-3-3 formation "fits right into Verbeek's plans" when he was playing prodomenantly 4-4-2 and 4-5-1 in the training camp against the olyroos.

it sounds like a pretty good plan but i would prefer to have someone good up front... victory should get someone like Michael Baird or Richard Garcia. then we would have a good attack

Decent back-up for strikers, could even be competing with Danny for a starting spot if he hits it off. Surprised we didn't sign this guy earlier than now.

I don't think he will come, why come now when the VPL is about to start again and he's earning those unbelievably high wages? He also pretty much rejected 100% of the league's clubs in season one and two.
