The reason why nobody turns up is because they already know that SOFC is already going to win by a double figure margin, because they're the Manchester United of Australia.

Little known fact, before Messi re-signed with Barca he had a trial at Oh LYM PIC but was turned down due to Matt Mayora already playng the same position and being much more impressive in trials.

Rumored that Guti trialled at Syd Olympic recently but didnt sign over a bust up with the club directors about the quality of souvlaki at Belmore. Instead went to play in turkey.

Sydney Olympic where offered a place in the Champions League but the likes of Barcelona and Inter Milan vetoed it knowing they'd never be able to compete with a team that came 10th in the NSWPL

I heard that OH - LYM - PIC took a large cash settlement from those clubs to not play. As a result, the 45,000 season ticketholders boycotted them this season, hence the three-figure crowds.

Edited by macedoniaisgreek: 8/10/2010 04:48:13 PM Point is Olympic's name changes were a whole heap bigger than ours. Woah we added South Sydney to the name then took Croatia out massive change there. Hold the press we switched Croatia and Sydney around. Sydney CSC is just Sydney Croatia Soccer Club so the same thing and then we've been United for 15+years. Not like Olympic who have had a totally different name apart from being Sydney Olympic and Olympic Sharks. Could also bring up the point about them moving around ever few years. The 'nomads of the NSL'.

LOL! Was a sponsor thing and it was in the early 00's not 1996 as was said. It was after our team got ripped apart by Parra Power and we were trying to rebuild.
