Steven Gerrard, Francesco Totti ... Noah Chianese?

NOAH Chianese, 14, of Wentworthville, may be the next Steven Gerrard or Francesco Totti if his career continues on its current trajectory.

The Hills Sports High School student has had phenomenal soccer success, previously playing for the Blacktown City Demons in the elite Premier Youth League.

Noah was also selected for the Australian under-13 squad and competed at the Asian Football Confederation Festival of Football in 2009.

``At the moment I’m playing in Project 22, which is a Football NSW, 10-month development squad program,’’ Noah said.

``My team also competed in the 2010 Bill Turner Cup competition.’‘

The year 9 student also plays soccer for his school, being involved in the under-15s competition and knockout tournament.

``We played a strong season from March until June,’’ Noah said. ``At the moment I’m training twice a week.’‘

He said due to being selected to play for Project 22 he didn’t get to try out for Blacktown Demons this year.

I watched the boy play at Coffs Harbour recently and there is no doubt he is very good player.
