Word on the street:
Same contacts and agent as Perez were used. Mariners will sign an Argentinian Striker currently playing in the Segunda División (Spanish 2nd division).

Why is he wearing white shorts in your pic? I've only watched 1 CCM game and can't remember if it's the uniform, alhough i'm quite sure it isn't. Could you clarify? Thanks :)

As a compromise, Sydney FC let us wear our home shirt, but with our away shorts and socks. Aren't they nice?

Striker from Las Palmas, Mauro Quiroga. Don't think has played a game yet based on Soccerway. This guy is 21 so I don't know if it would be him.
He's the only one listed as a striker, but there's also a Segunda B.
There is Emiliano Armenteros, but he's listed as a midfielder (doing alright for goals so far, on loan from Sevilla).

It is either 1 of the follwoing 3: 1) Óscar Trejo - 22 years old: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%93scar_Trejo2) Facundo Coria - 23 years old: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Facundo_Coria3) Mauro Quiroga - 21 years old (no Wiki page) Which one would be best? :-k

Perez's time at Velez Sarsfield sort of overlaps with Coria's time there, they both seem to have been loaned out to different clubs at the time though, so that could be possible a hint towards it being him. maybe a bit of a stretch.

Quick question (sorry to spam again), what would happen if Coria's Villareal B side won the Segunda? Would there be two Villareal sides in the top flight or would the promotion spot go to the highest finishing not-promoted side?

Currently most probable candidate:
Damien Zalio
He seems to be more of a winger or second striker though, which will suit us because we have 4 big target men. Depends if Arnie is going to keep playing the 4-4-2 diamond though.
If it's this guy I'd have
---------------Ryan--------------- -Bojic-Wilkinson-Zwaanswijk-Rose- --------Griffiths---Hutchinson-------- --Zalia-------Perez-------Bozanic-- -------------McBreen-------------
Subs: Simon McGlinchey Amini Henderson (GK)
I don't really like the idea of not having McGlinchey start though :(

Apparently it's someone called "Frandinho".
I can't find anything on him. Does anyone know who he is? And besides the Brazillian sounding name, he is apparently Argentinian.

Poor Mariners looking for some no-name South American....the Jets though..... I'm liking this high horse
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

I'm liking this high horse Perez was a "no-name South American". So was Flores. What's your point? Because the Jets are getting someone from Europe "who has represented their country at international level"? I would only be jealous if it is Michael Mifsud. Infact, if it is Michael Mifsud I will travel to Newcastle and watch every home game you guys play. I'd also go watch when you play Sydney. I would also probably cry that he didn't choose CCM

He plays as a right-winger in a 4-2-3-1 system. Not sure how Arnie is gonna use him.

He looks like an exciting player!

TransferMarkt.co.uk is pretty handy, but I couldn't find any info of him on there either. Also with this boy, also try http://www.google.es/http://www.google.com.ar/It may STILL be Google, but it's Google Espana and Google Argentina. ;) The both will feature mostly links in the Spanish language ofcourse, but they will feature many links from Spain (Where he plays) and Argentina (Where he's from, also played) and so the odds may be slightly higher they will have links on the player from sites there. http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Villarreal_Club_de_F%C3%BAtbol_BThat's been updated and I presume he was released a while ago, because no mention of him there or in the page's 'recent' history (like this year) of squad list changes. Though with Wikipedia you can never be too sure, the page may not be updated that reliably. Hmmm now those Youtube videos are interesting, you see, who posts them? Often people from those countries, leagues, and not always, infact often, they're NOT English speakers! That Youtube clip actually revealed enough information to glean closer - The club featured in that 'Damian Zalio 2009' that he played for was C.P. Cacereno - I searched for them, through the es.Wikipedia, and then the page's revision history and found 'Zalio' listed during 2009, but he doesn't even have an es.Wikipedia site, let alone English one. http://es.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Club_Polideportivo_Cacere%C3%B1o&diff=16395174&oldid=16394598http://es.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Dami%C3%A1n_Zalio&action=edit&redlink=1So no luck through any language Wikipedia lol, except to confirm the video footage that he was there during 2009. lol So again, just search the Espanol sites.
