Huge response for summer soccer comp

It’s vital that your Summer Soccer team has two members at Sid Kallas Oval covered area this Wednesday October 27 at 7pm, now that total entries have reached 38 teams.
As advertised, the first 24 teams registered and paid are in, but only if represented this Wednesday night as well.

Roger has let your team manager know your team’s number, so ask her or him. Number 25 or after may make the cut if teams are not represented, but last year there were none absent!

Essential information relevant to the successful running of the games will be covered on Wednesday night, about setting up, rules and refereeing standards and advice. You will also need to form a Committee of active people – maybe two Committees.

For the other 14 teams, turn up too, as another venue or another night are the possibilities, but only if several volunteer to make a commitment to a few hours every week.

Games need to be run under strict Football NSW guidelines so that they can go ahead and be covered by insurance, just as has happened for many years now.

Wednesdays at another venue means making goals before a delayed kickoff date.

If the choice made this Wednesday is for a different night at Sid Kallas Oval, one has to be agreed upon, so check with your team mates before Wednesday.

Either option requires a second Committee, to make and administer the

decisions on behalf of everyone. Otherwise, 14 teams miss out.

It’s fantastic to see the interest from all of you – newcomers and veterans! Now you all need to consider stepping forward and say you’ll help organise, supervise and take responsibility for another successful summer of soccer. It’s all run by volunteers.
