Technically all that is scheduled to happen on Monday is the board will meet to discuss the expansion team selection. They have not said specifically that a decision will be made on Monday. It is possible a decision will be made, but it could easily be pushed back to January.

I am expecting something with ping-pong balls, a DJ, a minor B list celebrity, and an inappropriate racial or sexist comment.

I'm thinking there'll be 3-5 consortia announced.
Looks like the Nix are on the way out but 5 might be too many as that will include probably some weak bids.
3 might be right, with 2 announced to start next season and one as a reserve in case the Nix don't shape up.
Most likely be the 22 round even HA league and a group stage FFA Cup to get to the required 26/27 games the AFC require.

Is the meeting on monday or wednesday? I've only seen one article saying monday which didn't seem very reliable.

Mondays are never reliable.  I prefer to trust Wednesdays.
