yeah i have tried to find news on the squad for a couple of weeks now and cant find nothing.

its sad clubs like olympic have to play in a comp with clubs like this but anyway moving along hopefully we hear news soon

As for who is in the squads is a mystery as nowhere do Parramatta FC document publicly who plays for them.

It's all a bit cloak n dagger I suppose until the players run out onto the park.

My lad trialled for the U/18's squad back in Oct last year and they don't look very strong. As for the 1st's and U/20's it's anyones guess.

I do agree there should be some sort of news for the fans. But as said before it's all cloak n dagger. Just what is happening in there at Parramatta FC is a complete mystery.

I took my lad to U/18's trials there and the only way to describe it was a circus and poorly run. My lad was fresh from finishing 5th in the FNSW champions of champions and was culled same day, selectors seemed to be looking the wrong way ALL the time. There was some very fine talent culled that day and some big question marks in my mind why some made it at all.

The only conclusion I can come to is Parramatta FC is under new management and the political sharks circled early and bit hard and the reason why all the cloak n dagger goings on. A lot of backslapping going on prior to trials. I knew straightaway when i saw this we were wasting our time. As for my lad 3 months later he is now in the elite squad at the Australasian Soccer Academy and looking to move on to higher than PFC in the future. BTW Ultragirl at the Australasian Soccer Academy we have a few of the Sydney Olympic lads regularly training with us. Good players.

I guess the proof will be in the pudding of PFC's results in all grades this year.

they also have dropped the players pay this year....compared to last year, then they want the players to train an additional night,you would think that you would at least be on the same money as last year..............

problem with associations is the people who are involved have the right intention, but they dont have the means or skill to achieve there goals, most just want to be apart of something and have nothing to offer......hence ASSOCIATION is an appropriate term......

i really want parramatta to be competative this year, and brian dene can put a good team together if he can afford the right players....lets hope he has the ammo....

so we have been informed by granville association that the web site will be updated with the players signed for first grade and further news in "a week or two"........

good news. i have emailed michael briggs twice about the squad. the first email he replied with the friendly fixtures. i said thanks and asked again about the squad. still waiting for a reply.

mltzer please tell this briggs character to employ someone to run duties such as:

update website regularly with news, give us info on who is on the board, were to buy season passes and so on.

This is all part of being a proper football club.

To be fir to Briggsey he is a good bloke and doing his best but the rest of Granville is in it for themselves not for the club. Briggsey would be working his arse off I guarrantee you.

Parramatta Eagles changed there name from Melita nearly a decade ago so Granville had nothing to do with that.

Briggsey is a good guy no doubt about it. To be fair this is the first year granville has owned a club in the NSWPl so its going to take them time to get their act together.

Just like if you had children with a South Melbourne supporter, you couldn't hassle the kid for supporting both SMH and SOFC.

i basically came to watching blacktown because it was my local club and the only game i could get too. i used to finish work at 7pm on saturday nights so straight from work i would drive to watch blacktown whose game would start at 7 so i would miss around 10mins. so i couldnt really watch parramatta due to work.
however i used to play for melita when i was younger and grew up attending their games so i still support them and get to the games when i can, like on tuesdays when they play in the cup.

thats why football is fourth tear in this country mate pick a side and support it and promote it simple as that i understand your sob story but that is not what football is about.

no im talking specifically about the 1st grade squad, my source played there in first grade last seasons as part of the competition winning team, who also beat blacktown demons 3-0 2 weeks before blacktown won the NSWPL.....so to see the squad fall apart is hard to watch, all due to aparently the players pay being slashed.............

Wollongong beat Melita in a trial today down in Wollongong, didn't watch the game myself but apparently Petratos Snr is playing for them, according to a mate of mine at the game said Melita were quite ordinary.

Parra have lost alot of last years squad, Parramatta are now owned by granville association and they wont spend the money on player payments, hope they can improve for the season, but have to say i have seen this happen with nepean, penrith panthers were forced to merge with nepean and the reat is history......lets hope that isnt the scenario being played out here.....
