Sydney Olympic can officially announce the signing of another player for our first grade squad, bringing the total amount of players officially registered for the up and coming season to 18. This time it’s Hussein Akil, a 21 year old striker that has played for our historic Club in the Under 16s team a few years ago and has also played overseas during the past year.

Husky as his friend call him mentioned to the Club staff after he signed his new contract: “It’s good to come back to the Club. I am looking forward to the season, there are some boys here that I know and have played with in the past and I am positive we will have a great season. There is a challenging and young squad at Olympic this season and I am sure the same as I do, all the boys have faith in the coaches and staff of the Club and it will be a year to remember for all of us.”

We would like to wish Hussein all the best for the 2011 season and we are sure that with the hard work that all players are putting into training the team will be able to achieve the expectations of the members and supporters of the Club.
