It was mentioned in the Sunday Smell-a-graph at the weekend that the Jets were close to signing an Australian born player from an Italian lower-division team.

If the Griffiths rumour turns out to be true, as has been speculated for months, then Bridge and Musialik are no real loss seeing they will probably be out of Oz after next season anyway..

i no the rumour says he is a midfielder...but I thought he was a defender (which would be even better)..one of the '99 joeys that was rated very highly but hasn't really pushed on as expected since then...hope the rumour is true
