There's been frequent debate as to when and if people have edited posts (be it the mods or a user in question)...and I just thought it would be an idea to have something to the effect of

as a footnote at the bottom of the post shoudls oemone edit any given post.

Yeah, but all it's doing is noting if the post ahs been edited and when it was edited, so if you edit it after someone makes a comment about said post, it's blatantly obvious you're being a wanker trying to dig yourself out of your own hole.

So where did all of these ideas come from that I edit my posts? I've edited no more than 5 in total, and it was to fix the quotations, or add something to the end, but I always put "Edit" in bold when I change something. Epic fail.
