Olympic played like shit in the first half and we scored 2 goals.
We dominated Rockdale in the 2nd half and should have scored a few and didn't.

Funny how football is sometimes...

Thanks APIA and BWE.

We where shit lol

We dominated the game

Rockdale created 1 chance in the 90 minutes of football

We where shit in the first half but we where still better than them
Shit game overall with the cow paddock we played on

Full timE of 4 nil would of been a better indication of our dominance
4 points ahead

4 points ahead with a gd of plus 13
Sutherland plus 3 second
and Sunited 5 points behind with plus 8

Thank you Rockdale for a clean game of soccer
unlike Marconis dirty tactics and time wasting from the beggining
of the game.

1 game left against Bonnyrigg then we are at home

Wednesday night finally at Belmore against Blactown

No not really parra were the better team first half, they just have to finish their chances, like they did against manly,
so this is hard for me to say but i agree with your opinion on marconi........what a bunch of grubs.....i read that marconi were going to get a rugby league team....well guess what they already have one, a bigger bunch of dirty cheating grubs you wont find anywhere in sydney except playing for marconi.......second half the ref gave 17 freekicks to parra but the ref didnt think any yellow cards were necessary....are you kidding?????
makes me wonder where do marconi find enough people willing to get the shit kicked out of them during training, because they dont use balls, they wouldnt know what the ball is......
elbows, handballs, kicking, pulling, pushing diving they have it all, they should be registered with actors equity.........
soane was lucky to make half time with a bad injury, the match report is pretty close to accurate, fabian Iacovelli missed a good chance, however he is a good young talent and its good to see parra giving the young guys a chance, and the young guys are giving it a red hot go, the scoreline isnt a true indication of the game.........

we played with black armbands and had a minutes silence for tyler simpson prior to the match......

very very sad.....we offer our condolences to the family and friends of tyler simpson may he rest in piece......

if you or anyone you know is in need of help to prevent this terrible situation there is help available...

Sydney Olympic extended their lead to four points at the top of the NSW Premier League ladder following Round 10 action.

The Blues scored two first-half goals to see off the challenge of Rockdale City Suns at Ilinden Sports Centre. Phil Makrys played a vital part in the Blues win, delivering the free-kick that led to Sydney Olympic’s opener. Suns defender Askin Oygur was adjudged to have fouled Richard Luksic inside the penalty-area, and Makrys calmly slotted the ball home for the lead on 29’ minutes.

David Gullo made the most of some sloppy defending after Suns goalkeeper Ben McNamara failed to deal with what seemed a routine cross. Gullo picked up the loose ball just inside the penalty-area and drove the ball home into the top left-hand corner.

Despite Rockdale’s best attempts to find a goal to re-open the contest, Sydney Olympic administered the result with minimal fuss, creating a number of further goal scoring opportunities in the second-half.

On Saturday evening at Seymour Shaw, Sutherland Sharks fell to their first defeat for 2011 against Bonnyrigg White Eagles in a high scoring affair. The Sharks were smooth sailing after 9’ minutes as Matthew Bailey volleyed home a Michael Katz cross for the opener. Despite creating a number of other goal scoring chances, the Sharks failed to find a second in the opening half. Instead, Bonnyrigg White Eagles equalized via the boot of Nathan Elasi on 39’ minutes as a cruel deflection off Paul Kohler saw the ball finish inside Nathan Denham’s goal.

After the break, Jared Lum sent the visitors ahead from the penalty-spot. A sticky talking point for the Sharks and their supporters followed as former Sharks striker Brad Boardman was brought down by Chris Price for a penalty. Despite the Sharks’ claims for an apparent handball by Boardman prior, the spot-kick was given and Lum converted for the 2-1 lead.

Bonnyrigg found their third via Blake Powell from close-range, before Boardman made it 4-1 with a strong finish.

The home side pulled a goal back via substitute Lachlan Cahill with 16’ minutes remaining, though it was too little too late for Sutherland.

Parramatta FC slumped to another home defeat this weekend, 1-4 against Marconi Stallions. Matthew Mayora scored twice in the first-half to have the Stallions 2-0 up at the break though concern surrounds the fitness of Mayora who was stretchered off with an injury 10’ minutes from the end. Further concern also surrounds the Stallions’ Umut Tokdogan, the defender too was replaced due to injury at Melita Stadium.

Matthew Gordon added a third for the Stallions midway through the second-half before Parramatta FC substitute Evangelos Petratos pulled a goal back for the Eagles. In injury-time, Giosue Sama rounded out the result for the Stallions, adding his side’s fourth of the afternoon.

Manly United FC leapt into the Top-Five with a hard fought 2-1 defeat of Bankstown City at Cromer Park. Following the recent home clash against South Coast Wolves, where Craig Midgley’s men coughed up a two goal lead, the Cromer Park side managed to keep their nerve this time around and grind out the win.

Scott Balderson kept his cool to finish nicely past Zlatko Joseski for the opening goal in the 1’ minute of the match before doubling the lead in the 22’ minute with a finish from close-range.

David Gardiner headed home a Shannon Burgin free-kick shortly after the re-start though it was not enough to get Bankstown City back into the match.

Blacktown City FC brought home a very important victory from the South Coast at the end of what has been an extremely difficult week for the club following the tragic passing of Tyler Simpson on Thursday. Mark Crittenden’s men played for their former teammate and the side was able to overturn a one-goal deficit to seal a win that has been dedicated to the side’s former teammate.

John Martinoski and Mark Picciolini combined in the 10’ minute for the former to tap-home to give the Wolves a one goal lead. Travis Major found the equaliser, albeit off a deflection from Dave Abel on the stroke of half-time to send both sides into the sheds on level terms, before Mitchell Duke found the winner in the 70’ minute with a first-time effort into the bottom corner. The win sees Blacktown City FC move into the Top-Five.

Round 10 saw NSW Premier League clubs pay tribute with a minutes silence prior to matches across the competition following the passing of Blacktown City FC’s Tyler Simpson late last week. The entire football community will keep the family, friends and teammates of Tyler Simpson in our prayers during this difficult time.

900 is around thr right crowd, disappointing really, but it matches the way our boys have been playing. there was a bay or two of olympic supporters to the south of the dressing rooms and the rest was largely our supporters, probably a 70-30 split which suprised me given last year there were very few olympic supporters who attended. then again, tseka has em playing well so they should be supporting their team.

olympic were the better team and deserved the 3 points. funily enough though, the 2 goals were both calamatous from us. a silly penalty, and a gift courtesy of an out of sorts ben mcnamara in goal for us. we had nothing and its a pity because the boys can play so much better. i wont use injuries as an excuse but gee i wish we had tiroski and lagoudakis to at least give us some drive. our strikers are terrible. there are serious question marks over the coach too and rightfully so.

it was a clean game on the field and off it. we gotta regroup now for a couple of very important matches coming up.

i agree about monie and for the life of me dont know why the coach perseveres with him.
mirko isnt too bad actually although he didnt have his best game yesterday.
sperenza has been good for us, ebergetic and the like. if only he could finish. he gets himself into dangerous positions and then gets lost when confronted with the goal at his mercy.
the left back spitz, for me is an attacking winger. we would be far more effective with him attacking down one flank, and sperenza the other.
anyway, it was a terrible all round performance by us which means this sunday against parra is a must win. im hoping sash tiroski is back because before he got injured he was far and away our best player.

Another poor performance by us. The ref gifted us a way back in to the game and then we blew it with 15 to go. Should have been able to hang on for the 3 points even though we probably didnt deserve it.

Parra - another convincing loss on the scoreboard and still rooted to the bottom of the table but apparently playing the best football in the league. That's if you believe everything that batfink says on here
