Sydney Olympic FC will be at Brighton Le Sands Beach this Sunday taking part at the Kids Beach Soccer 2011 taking place there.

In the morning Sydney Olympic FC 1st Grade team will be training on the beach and you can come down and have the opportunity to watch a full training session just days before the 2011 Premier League starts.

After that the players of Sydney Olympic will be available to talk to all the supporters of our Club that will be present and sign autographs and discuss with all of you about the new season that is commencing soon.

The kid’s soccer event is a non competitive series of beach soccer matches for girls and boys and many ex Socceroos and Sydney Olympic players will be there on the day.

A fun day for the whole family on Sunday and we urge all our fans not to miss out on this one!

Didn't you agree to post all of Olympic stuff in one thread? Last time, Make one Thread for it all, or I'll do it myself and lock all threads like this that are posted outside of it.

Sydney Olympic team visit at St Basils Aged Care Home

As part of the support to the community that Sydney Olympic FC initiates every year, a number of 1st grade and reserves players visited St Basil’s Aged Care Home at Lakemba on Saturday morning.

Office staff had the chance to present a signed jersey for the centre and talk to the staff about their responsibilities and their everyday issues at their facilities. Sydney Olympic will be in touch with the staff at St Basils and will do everything possible to assist them short term but also long term.

Sydney Olympic players had the chance to hand out giveaway bags to the residents and talk to them about the everyday life at the St Basils and invited everyone to attend the games at Belmore Sports Ground this season.

All of the residents had been to Sydney Olympic games in the past and had many interesting stories to say about our favourite team. Mr Parashos Pezas one of the foundation members of the Club was also present and talked to us passionately about the history of Sydney Olympic and what it represents for the older generation and the support he is expecting to see from the younger generation of Sydney Olympic supporters.

On behalf of Sydney Olympic FC we would like to thank all the staff of St Basils and specifically Mr Steven Zaharopoulos for assisting us to organize this visit and of course all the residents that accepted us at their house and their positive words of support.

Photos of the visit can be found in our gallery or by clicking HERE

Brighton Beach Soccer Day a huge success

posted by on March 14, 2011

On Sunday Sydney Olympic 1st grade had a morning training session at Brighton Beach. The players responded well to the training session on a different surface and the coaching staff were extremely happy. Following the training the boys also signed autographs to a number of young supporters of the Club that watched the whole training session.

Later on in the day the Beach Soccer event was scheduled and all our players were present and handed out giveaway bags to all the young players that had registered for the event. It was a pleasant surprise to see dozens of people walking around Brighton with a Sydney Olympic bag and the young players being so excited to see our 1st grade team present.

A lovely hot day at Brighton beach and a number of families turned up for the event that was organized by Ray White real Estate - Brighton and Sydney Olympic was happy to be present and we are looking forward to participating in the event again next year.
