Sydney Olympic team visit at St Basils Aged Care Home As part of the support to the community that Sydney Olympic FC initiates every year, a number of 1st grade and reserves players visited St Basil’s Aged Care Home at Lakemba on Saturday morning. Office staff had the chance to present a signed jersey for the centre and talk to the staff about their responsibilities and their everyday issues at their facilities. Sydney Olympic will be in touch with the staff at St Basils and will do everything possible to assist them short term but also long term. Sydney Olympic players had the chance to hand out giveaway bags to the residents and talk to them about the everyday life at the St Basils and invited everyone to attend the games at Belmore Sports Ground this season. All of the residents had been to Sydney Olympic games in the past and had many interesting stories to say about our favourite team. Mr Parashos Pezas one of the foundation members of the Club was also present and talked to us passionately about the history of Sydney Olympic and what it represents for the older generation and the support he is expecting to see from the younger generation of Sydney Olympic supporters. On behalf of Sydney Olympic FC we would like to thank all the staff of St Basils and specifically Mr Steven Zaharopoulos for assisting us to organize this visit and of course all the residents that accepted us at their house and their positive words of support.
