South Coast Wolves have scored their first goal of the season
by signing Newcastle Jets striker Saso Petrovski.

Saso brings with him a huge wealth of experience from previous
stints with Central Coast Mariners, Sydney FC, Danish club Viborg FF,
two Socceroos caps and as a member of the all-conquering back to back
Grand Final winning 1999/2000 and 2000/2001 Wolves teams.
The 36 year old prolific striker has moved with his family to the
Illawarra and will lead the attack against Sydney Olympic in the
opening round of the NSW Premier League on March 27th.

We met up with Saso at his first training session with South Coast Wolves
at their training ground in Shellharbour on Wednesday night, and will be
running his in-depth interview in the next news release. You’ll find out
why he came back, how he rates the Premier League, what it takes to make
it to the top tier, and even what he likes to eat (a special type of pasta).

So tune in to the website for this and more upcoming news.

News as of 08/03/2011

With only a few weeks to go until the season kick-off the club
has been busy negotiating with triallists in the off-season.
We thought we’d bring you up to date so far, so supporters get
to know their team before the first game at home against
Sydney Olympic on March 27th at 4pm.
Our home ground for 2011 will again be at Crehan Park in Cringila
– a great compact venue with covered seating, a licenced club
and arguably the best cevapi in the Premier League.

So, whats new at the club?

Wolves have retained the services of 2010 coach Trevor Morgan,
currently Director of Football at Westfields Sports High School.
Assistant Coach is Geoff Allport, who is also Youth Grade coach.
Our Goalkeeping coach is local legend John Krajnovic, while our
First Grade manager is Rusty Abbott, who, when not playing a
live gig with his band, basically ensures the players have
everything they need.

New Players:
Jacob Timpano – Sydney United and North Queensland Fury
Lawrence Drake – Wollongong Olympic and Brisbane Strikers (NSL)
Stjepan Paric – Blacktown City

Players who have left:
Jason Trifiro – Victorian Premier league
Tayfun Buyukopporu – Trialling with various clubs
Tynan Diaz – Bonnyrigg White Eagles
Lisandro Berbis – Rockdale City Suns
Ian McInerney – Melita
Sean Van Rooyen – unknown
Greg Valic, Andrew Keep, Andrew Payne, Keiran Deane –
all to Illawarra Premier League

Current 2011 Players and team numbers ( not all confirmed):
1. Brody Crane
2. Alex Mansueto
3. Dave Abel
4. Jacob Timpano
5. Nick Littler
6. Lawrence Drake
7. Samet Kaynak
8. Andres Gomez
