Fenerbahce are planning to revive their interest in Chelsea striker Didier Drogba after becoming convinced this summer represents their best chance to take the Ivory Coast man to Turkey.

The Yellow Canaries have long been fans of Drogba and have tried before to tempt Chelsea into selling the powerful striker, but their efforts have always met without success.

Now however, the Super Lig giants have taken note of reports that Drogba could well be made available this summer and are keen to put themselves in pole position to sign the 33-year-old.

Drogba would be lucratively rewarded if he agreed to make the move to Istanbul, while Fenerbahce would be able to offer the former Marseille man Champions League football next season.

Nice rumour, at his age it's possible but I reckon they'd be 1 or 2 EPL and Championship clubs interested also, lets not forget the middle east.

Why would he go to a Championship club? Turkish clubs are known to pay over the odds for players who have done well in England, note: Milan Baros

I honestly wouldn't rule out one last season at the very top at Madrid next season.

Mourinho's been crying out for a #9 and his relationship with Drogba would make it no surprise if he went to Madrid.

Would Drogba really be willing to go to a club like Juve where there's a good chance of no European football next season.

But is he the man to take Real forward, Jose knows that they could probably do alot better than Drogba at his age

I dont see Arsenal making a purchase like this, if you look at the goal differance Arsenals problem has not been there lack of scoring goals and winning my confortable margins, Its the lack of composure in the centre, Wenger needs to buy an experienced Defender and Midfielder and by experienced i dont mean Amount of games but Age, a young side needs an elder to look up to, Chelsea have Lampard as there veteran, Liverpool have Gerrard, United look to Giggs, who do arsenal have (Vanpersie doesn't count in my opinion) This is where Gallas was great, he may not have been the greatest defender in the world but he sure brought depth to the team and as we saw in 04 thats what won us the crown, the ability to keep the teams mental state in check in the tough grinding matches such as the match we lost on the weekend. and the draw with tottenham.

I was half kidding, but I'm still one of those who think we should have gone for Darren Bent in January. We need a player like Drogba or Bent who is capable of and consistently does bag 20-30 goals a season, we may have that with Van Persie but who do we have when he's out injured, Chamakh's gone off the boil. You say we win by comfortable margins, thats when we win, when we don't we create so many chances but no one bangs them in. We need someone who can, again we have that with Van Persie to an extent but we need someone who just lives for goals and wants to and his hungry to score goals, and converts all their chances including their half chances. Someone like Bent, I wouldn't say no to Drogba either. But I agree, the thing we most lacking is an experienced head in the midfield and the backline.

the club isn't big enough (starving off relegation doesn't sound too appealing when you've been fighting for titles and europe)... and his wages would be through the roof

Still a top quality striker capable of playing at the highest level for at least another year. I can see him going to Turkey.
