ES Marks is going to be redeveloped to become the FFA HQ, as well as training ground at boutique stadium for National Teams.

I remember Edwin Lugt when he was around stating they were locked in at the SFS up until 2013 or 2015?

I havnt been there but since you have would it be possible to have a 25,000 seater stadium built thier with enough parking.
I had a look on google maps and it looks like theres plenty of room but i wouldnt know forsure as if never been there.

It used to be the home of Sydney Hakoah back in the day, I think it is safe to assume that Rigas is trolling.

Probably. But it'd need a complete knock down/rebuild IMO. The grand stand looks like somthing out of the Soviet Era days, and there's a running track around the outside that's used by Little Athletics and small Athletic Carnival meets (i.e School carivals etc. )

It has a certain Serie B club like character about it if it was rebuilt correctly. The original poster was probably taking the mickey, but if this joint was done up right, it'll be not bad actually.

This won't happen because the A-League licence says something like the clubs must play in a ground acceptable for TV coverage, which is why Palmer won't upgrade a local stadium and make a boutique stadium

Meh, Frank can (and does) alter the t&c's of any previous agreement as he pleases.

Speaking of such - does anyone know what's happening at Leichhardt Oval? Are they upgrading it or something? Haven't seen a Wests Tigers game there this year...

They've had a couple million pumped into it but it needs more. The termite infested stand at the Southern End of the ground they've re-done. It's nice in there now, they also added toilet facilities in there, and they're improving the media boxes at the top of the main grandstand. The old toilets are the Northern End are supposed to be being re-developed.

They've played one game there this year - Against the Warriors - We won 20-12. I think there's at least 1, possibly 2 more scheduled games there this season.

Romped the Raiders this arvo =;

There's probably a couple. I haven't seen that many of their stadiums (A few do look like ES Marks) but i daresay there's probably one Seria B stadium that does.

Has alot more to do with Euro grounds (and cities in general) having less room to move/build.
