Rumoured to be joining the SA Premier League next season. Will post any updates on that here.

Further info thanks to the lads at footballnews: It is rumoured that the AUFC Youth will be in the Super League, SASI in reserves (just like now), and AUFC academy will be in 19s.

Looking forward to sharing more! Will be nice if AUFC can get their youth setup moving in the right direction withthe support of FFSA and the local clubs.

Sounds good.

I wrote a paper last year about the youth teams of A-League clubs playing in their respective state leagues instead of a NYL. I really like the idea.

I read something on twitter the other day that AUFC's tour of China has been cancelled. You able to shed any more light on this?

Wanna post it online? I would like to read it :)

Wouldn't teams have a problem with no reserve competition during the A-league season if the NYL only played in the state league comps? Similar to the Wellington Phoenix situation

Yeh, I will find it, it is on one of many USB's.

Part of it was to have the state leagues and A-League running at the same time. A lot of my research was done on the way the Spanish clubs do it. Barca and Real for example have "B" teams playing in a lower division, they can not be promoted.

I think I got a credit or distinction I forget, so probably a few area's it needs work on but when I find it, I will post it here.

I'll post this here as it's relevant to the topic:

Where does that leave the SASI boys? Will they amalgamate with AUFC, and form our academy's U17 squad?
