I know this has been talked about a fair bit, but twitter has been going nuts with the news that the signing of Harry Kewell to the Jets could be announced this week.

Would be HUGE for the league.

Can confirm whole city would go off like Centrelink on a busy day if this happened

He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

I presume SFC is still working their overhead costs at the moment like sorting out which tea lady to fire.

Funny, as much money as Newcastle has, I can't see this happening, I hope I'm wrong, really but I still think he'll go to the USA.

He's said previously If he comes home he'll got to the Western Sydney team. It's guarenteed a Western Sydney team will not be up and running and playing in the A-League while he's still fit and under 40. It'd be nice to see him coming home but I doubt it won't be happening at the Jets.

Can't see us taking him atm either, it'd be nice but there's a few rumours round we're interested in him or Neil. If push came to shove I think we'd be inclined to take Neil, our defensive stocks are so poor at the moment. Have been since our double. Although I doubt we'll sign either.

WOLLONGONG WOLVES FOR A-LEAGUE EXPANSION!

Not sure about Kewell coming back to Aus. Guess there are plenty of clubs that still want him for at least 1 season, only thing that could bring him back to Australia is if he demands a multi-year contract. But the question is, with Harry being injury-prone and a top salary-marquee, are A-league clubs willing to invest and take a chance?

Sure he'd be a huge boost for the league as a whole and for the club that signs him, but i'm not sure if its possible financially. I think he'll end up in English Championship somewhere.
