Crystal Palace are moving for Australia midfielder Mile Jedinak.

The London Evening Standard says Palace are taking advantage of their Australian connection by lining up midfielder Mile Jedinak on a free transfer, after he was released by Turkish club Genclerbirligi.

Jedinak, who has won 26 caps for Australia and appeared against Germany in Australia's opening game of the 2010 World Cup, is on Palace's radar through Dougie Freedman's assistant Tony Popovic.

The former Aussie star has impressed on 27-year-old Jedinak how a move to English football could revitalise his career.

He'll tear it up in the Championship, would be a good signing for Palace.

If memory serves, you only need 60%

Jedinak would fit in well in a shit league

He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

Ah, it's solely a percentage instead of a percentage and a minimum amount of caps. Thanks for the update.
Jedi would be great at Palace, but i'm not sure if it is the right choice for him career-wise. Palace are not like the top contender for promotion so it would be better imo to go to a club like Leeds or Forest. (and maybe Bristol, ahum)

I think a move to Palace would be good for him. You could look at the way Carle's career went south with them, but during that time there was a lot of off the pitch drama involving the club. I don't think they're exactly plain sailing financially still, but I think he'd do OK at Palace.
