Mandurah City were great value for their win against Floreat.

Mandurah won the Football West First Division in season 2007 and were playing against the Premier League's undefeated champions from 2007.

A large crowd and local politicians turned out to see the first game in the WA premier league played outside of Perth (Mandurah is an hour's drive south of Perth).
