Good signing. Like it. Hope the shirts have just the logo, not the huge block on the front we're seeing on the ads.

I’m hoping the white block is just for the old shirts.
Other than that: 👍

They're the ones. I'd imagine Actron wants to have a presence on the front. Can see us going with the blue one.

Yeah BRFC_92 I think ActronAir will want the blue. Although the blue CSL logo last season didn’t really look that good on orange did it?
I wonder what CSLs involvement will be this season?

You mean CHL? It didn't look great but I didn't mind it. Let's hope they stick around. Sleeve and W-League perhaps? That'd be nice.

@ BRFC
It’s double this time last year apparently but I’m not sure about other years. Roar should be disappointed not to crack 10k this year. I guess a lot depends on the Cup game v City, bomb out and memberships will stall but play well and win and I recon they’ll surge.
54,531 memberships sold across eight HAL clubs so far:
Victory 13,950 WSW 13,607 SFC 8,127 City 5,670 Roar 5,326 Adelaide 3,187 Glory 2,614 Mariners 2,274 Jets - not yet reported Nix - not yet reported

Yeah good point. Last year was a disaster so good to see we’re heading in the right direction. We could definitely hit the 10 and as you say, FFA Cup will have an impact for sure

We’re normally down in the Mariners to Adelaide range at this time of the year so I think we can take the current number as a positive.

good stuff. But it looks like it starts at u11 when it needs to start at u9 which is the golden age of tech development

@ grazorblade
It starts at U11 for the main academy (which is free) and then they have 10 Academy Partner clubs (including teams like Olympic, Gold Coast City, Sunshine Coast Wanderers) down to U6s

@ aok
Agree.
And what I can’t understsnd is why CFG feel the need to charge?
Roar have 16 teams with an average of 14 kids which is 224 kids, at best they’re getting $2k/year which is less than half a million. Why bother?

Sebastian Gallegos? Where did that come from?
Visa/DM/marquee signing - he only ticks one of those boxes lol

+x+xRoar apparently wanting Sydney FC's triallist Sebastian Gallegos We need a DM not a W so not sure why he's there if he is. not really sure about that in DM we have TK and McKay then as back ups Callettie, Nigro, Pepper and mauk can play further back and if desperate Papa can play the DM role. you dont really want to be relying on a lot of them for long stretches (from previous forms) but all can do a more than serviceable job. Also hopefully TK has got his hammy right so wont be out for as long as he was last season. In the wings we have Tobi and Eric and our back up is Henrique then Shannon Brady. Brady has proved that he is nowhere near good enough for this level so i think we are very short of players for the wings. if our second marquee DM has fallen through then i think there are other places we should be focusing.

I call bullshit.
This guy looks average and we don't need another winger.

At the moment our midfield looks weak.McKay,Kristensen are past it and Mauk is an unkown. No strong DM.No strong AM.That's not the making of a major improvement on last year.Backup is mediocre at best. Potentailly good forwards with no service and a turnstile midfield defending counter attacks.Thta's still the reality.Which means sitting deeper again and longballing forward unless Mauk can be a star. I am staggard that McKay and Kristensen ,now another year older are not considered bench players. Midfield was problem last year and still looks like our weakness.Where is that star DM?

Agreed. We should be starting with TK and a Marquee in the CDM spots (or Mauk if we can get a ridiculously good AM) and look for it to transition into Caletti and MCDM through this season and into next. TK is still class but he's getting slower and his injuries killed us last year. McKay should be 4th or 5th option in those two spots, really.

I’m not as savage as Crimsoncrusoe but agree the midfield is where we need a big signing:
AM - Mauk then Holman/Akbari
DM - TK then Mackay/Caletti
We need a strong, first pick DM to play alongside TK.
I’m actually very comfortable if Mackay and Holman play off the bench.
