Article on Fox with McKay saying he would love to play on. Is our form the last couple of years that they have an article saying they want to play on and the club announce a new deal a few days later (North, Henrique, even Broich leaving...). So can almost lock it in that he's coming back.

I’m already sad about next season. Either we are going to be so useless that Matty retains a first team spot ... or else Matty’s going to fade out the same way as North and Theo ... ie finishing their career on the injury list or as an unused sub. Either option is disappointing.

yeah, and Brown out with “illness” .... although technically I’m not sure being constantly out of position is an illness but Victory will hope there is a cure

O’Toole to CB. He has played there before.
But O’Toole/Pepper vs Keogh? Man against boys ...
Aloisi has to do something special tacticaly, maybe 4-5-1 and crowd the space necessary to create chances? Mckay has got the legs so out him man to man on Carsten?

Castro? Big Ask to put O’Toole at CB in such a big game , surprised Franic diddnt slot in there with O’Toole in his favoured position , hopefully it works out and the boys have a blinder . Got to say though I never seen a team ever with so many injuries .

Worryingly this is Aloisi’s weakest spot, tactical variation - there’s s triple threat tonight and all i expect Aloisi to do is send out his troops to do the same, usual stuff. Same as last week - he couldn’t anticipate WSWs whirlwind start or adapt to the aerial threat of their big No. 9.

Fahid, you're getting 90 minutes even if you do nothing but run around flapping your arms, playing misplaced passes and yelling at our own players and the ref. Same for you, Matty. Try and turn the ball over as often as possible, Brett. Eric, you're our best player and only shining light in attack, so make the most of your 60 minutes before I put on Oxborrow for some reason. -Mumble in Spanish and Italian to show how smart, worldly and awesome I am-. Big Mac, I've got my "you were in great positions" speech ready for when we need to explain why you missed 3 sitters. And remember: if we lose, you'll all still get new deals with me as the boss! Hoo-rah!

Is exactly why we shouldn't be signing Holman again but. Paying him money to sit on the physios table.

You’d think tonight made up Aloisi’s mind on Holman right. Meanwhile Akbari’s return from injury continued tonight in the NPL with another good performance and a goal.

I thought we were toast with O’Toole/Pepper at CB up against three of the best attacking players but they were magnificent. Credit to JA for playing O’Toole there, the popular (twitter) opinion pre-match was to put Franjic there and O’Toole at LB
Eric, Hingert and TK were superb. and Young was pretty good despite the first goal.
Henrique proves beyond a doubt he’s worth a contract. And Holman that he isn’t.
Imagine Taggart in a Roar shirt next season. That’s the type of player we need leading our line.

O'Toole had been one of our best when he was playing and proved that to be true again last night. He's been healthy for ages and JA just hasn't wanted to play him. Funny what happens when you give the talented youngsters a go 😂 I really hope we re-sign Jack and that's about it still from last night's starters. Connor is unreal. TK and Eric are already re-signed. I hope we have enough cover for Ricky to just be a super sub as well. Still totally unconvinced by the rest of them. Corey has forgotten how to scorey. There was a moment where FBK literally just flick-passed it out over the sideline when he was the widest player on the pitch - summed up our season in my mind (along with Holman coming off after 20 and the comical first goal). Taggart and King Kenny would be good striker signings. Need some pacey and tricky wings. At least 2-3 midfielders. Cover for fullback and CB. A lot of work to do, just hopefully not the lazy/easy option and re-signing a lot of the current squad.

It’s easy to think who to ditch right - Holman, FBK and Maccarone are the three biggest earners. Add in North, Brown and Theo and you’ve got enough cash to sign 5 starting players and one marqueee. That’s a squad transformation right there.
All the rest of the squad are touch and go, and more down to who else is available and would fit under the cap? You can get rid of say Pepper but you don’t sign anything better for the same money.
Hingert played well but has blown hot n cold this season, but I see few better signings in the league for the same money.

I'm on board the O'Toole train.Just why o why isnt he playing each week?Under pressure his positioning was great ,no panic on the ball and he could even pick a pass under pressure to start a counter , when others just booted it to noone. At the very least he should be LB and Franjic moved to midfield. Ricky improves with age and Hingert can be good if he tries. FBK should be hooked.Holman proved how he just screws the synchronicity of the team and Maccorrone s really only capable of AM .Absolutley legless. It should be the easiest decisions.Cut FBK,Macca and only offer Holman a pension contract. North gone,McKay a pension contract,. Eric,we have him regardless,he does a lot of good and stupid things. Is he going to be Marquee? I hope not. Players needed....Striker,a fast winger ,who can score,an AM and a DM. Interestingly some other clubs have a headache keeping player, like SFC and MV.both have three players worthy of Marquee status Players who i would select from other clubs if available.. Taggart,Hiariej,Absolonson,Ninkovic,Harold,K Bacchus,Burns,McGree(a perfect fit next to Kristensen),Buhargiar, even Pain. There's others as well, particularly youngsters. If we can offer more cash now, then we could assemble a nice team.

Yes we won, but I don't know. If I was to pick one team from the other to coach next year it would be Perth.

Maybe two things there, based on last nights performance I’d choose Roar as they were the better side by quite some way. Secondly who will be at each club next season? I’d bet there’s s high probability of Taggart leaving Glory along with a few others - Carsten is surely past it now as well.
Aloisi for his part has to figure out how he can dish up the sh*t he did last week and then this ...

Thank God Holman got injured, otherwise Henrique wouldn’t have got near the park till 65 minutes by which time Perth would have been putting up the shutters. Amazing what a difference having a player with some positional sense makes.

Yes Roar won, but Roar don't look like the professional outfit they should be. Lucky Castro was off his game.

The fact it was close is pretty much down to Roars inability to finish. Had Holman played longer I doubt we’d have got those two Ricky goals and might have lost, but next season put a striker of Taggart quality in Roars team and that game goes 4-1 easy.
Re Castro, and Taggart/Keogh, they were off last night - they didn’t really expose Roars central defence.

Kossie claiming that Aloisi is a clever coach who has worked out how to use his players. I’m assuming he means that putting Holman on to play for 20 minutes only before getting injured, and repeatedly bringing on Gameiro for zero return are Aloisi masterstrokes.
