does that mean Everything printed is "false" ? :) and zimbos may have seen false docs ??? as well.

It doesn’t mean everything is false, nor does it mean everything is true either, hey?

The track record of reporting in Brisbane on Roar and football generally has typically been negative and incorrect.

And let’s put some perspective on this.

Of the supposed 3 or maybe 4 buyers ALL of them remained anonymous, none of them went public, none of them made a public statement .... but somehow, amid all this secrecy, we are expected to believe a JOURNALIST saw “the documents”
- that doesn’t add up, it just doesn’t

And to add a final point: if a journalists did see a “document” he would have at least named “the document” concerned - it would either be a Term Sheet, an Expression of Interest or half a dozen other documents that Wikipedia will tell you are common in the early stages of an acquisition. It’s not just a document, it would be a specific type of document

If it smells like BS, it probably is ...

I'll say it slow for you as i'm sure the first part went over your head. I saw the documents. I didn't write the article.

and if a journo or whoever was given the liberty of seeing any docs it would be due to an insider who is sworn to secrecy and risk legal action against them.....
Due dillegence and a non disclosure agreement is normal as I'm sure Waz knows without checking up in wiki.
Anyway water under the bridge, Bakeries carry on and didn't feel the need to sell.

I wish they did sell. Sick and tired to be held hostage by an owner with little ambition and no loyalty to Australian football.

Be great if we had a German model where the club is at least 51% owned by the fans.

For me the most obvious thing about Brisbane Roar is how all the good players who played for us in the past have never come back. But prefer to play at other clubs.Inman the latest........
Yet good players who leave other clubs ,return sometimes multiple times.
It says a lot.

I think it says more about the money on offer than about a preference not to return to the club.

And an element of timing. Some came back to the league during our slump years, others when we already had players in their positions.

The younger ones who leave after showing promise then feel loyalty to the club that signs them on a senior contract and gives them first team time.

It is a good observation about them not coming back - but I don't know that it tells us much about the club as such other than our pockets are not as deep as we would like them to be.

When I wear their colours, I am the club.

Thanks for the clarification. I thought you were saying players preferred to play for other clubs rather than they might come back if we paid them better (or maybe a bit of both and if we had a few highly paid stars they might stay for the dream of a title).

That said - I like our club and although we are inconsistent I believe we can beat any team we play when we are doing well. That says maybe we have good enough players without Diamanti, Castro and Ninkovic types.

Better 'star quality' players would lift our potential and give us a much better chance of consistency I admit.

What a dumb comment. What's the average life span of an a  league player? 3-5  years. Why wouldn't he chase a bigger pay check if it's on offer?

I’d have any of those players at a drop of the hat.

We can beat any team when we’re having a cracker  and the other team is having a shocker - and combined with good luck. That possibility goes for any team anywhere in the world.

We need a team that could fluke more than 1 game against top opposition because there is zero chance we could become top of the table contenders. You know it, everyone knows it.

Didn't Henrique, Reinaldo and Solorzano all return.. and Brown (Devere too!)
As for Inman, seems he couldn't get a game for the ISL team he signed with and was loaned to the bottom team. Would have had him back as thought he was decent, but don't think he would be in our starting 11 now

We are drawing with teams when we are certainly not performing at our best too don't forget. We do not need to be having a cracker - just getting one or two of our very gettable shots in every game.

We do that with our existing team and I believe we are top of the table contenders.

Brown is better than O'Toole, and Brown is still developing into a better attacker as he goes along. Some of his crosses now are top notch and he is a key part to our overall attacking quality. I am no longer worried about him getting back (which he does) and making a stupid decision - which was my greatest criticism of him previously.

I am glad we got him back even when he is not necessarily our future in that position.

Sorry but LOL

I welcome your mockery.

Just bear in mind that I am not saying we will consistently put away one or two of our genuinely created chances from now on - but if we manage to finish what we are already creating what is to stop us from beating every other team and taking two wins against Mariners to make up the difference? We are not losing games by unstoppable goals and any draw only takes one goal more from us.

All we have to do is finish - which we all know is a consistent weakness of our team and no small achievement. I think our players should be able to do that.

Lot of discussion going on here...so we'll see what happens v WU.
if we can get this one  or at least be very competitive I think that'll bode postitve for remainder of the season.

Its a must win game today in my mind, Western United and Perth still have games in hand and when you look how close it is on the ladder its not looking good for Roar.
Even Jets or Welly could easily move above Roar soon if there are not careful, zero wins in the last 5 games.

I think Brisbane is a solid Football team ,that is probably a few quality players short of being a good team.
Current momentum is drawing and to change that we either need some more luck or a player to make an impact.
We brought in Gol Gol ,but he has been disappointing so far and we have not improved.
Champness is one of the few players we have that can beat a player with skill. But plays sparingly and on the left, when he used to play and score on the right for Newcastle.
We rely on Brown and Hingert to provide overlapping runs on the wings and lob the ball in to DWH.
It’s not smart football.
JOS our most creative player has been ordinary lately with numerous turnovers from poor passes.
It looks like it will come down to our two Japanese players to make a difference. If not then we are destined for a struggle to make the six.

The league is quicker this year O'Shea has struggled.
