Why is it that only roar supporters whinge and whine. Once again Glory started a game with many changes to their line up, yet no noise, unlike you mob. Imagine if roar had to do all that  travelling, although I suppose it would be just another opportunity to cry yourselves to sleep at night.

Well to be honest. Without dwh and hinget the side that went out yesterday was what moon wanted in his first 11. 

Although I would dump chapness for Parsons. 

I think the Aldred and the pregame injury to dwh disrupted our the plan. But really should have adjusted better and sooner. 

I thought it wasn't our day. Even it the first half we had 3 really good chances.

Bugger,MB look safe now on 39 pointa.So that pushes   Roar to sixth and AU to fifth.
Its down to AU,BR,WP& PG for fifth and sixth.

a win against perth tomorrow secures finals and puts us in a good position for a home final, a draw would mean we need a point against sydney or for bulls to get a result against wellington ( which is likely as they will need it for a home final). 

we can still get a home final which is what we should be aiming for. two big efforts, Hopefully there is a bit of a crowd there tomorrow but midweeks are difficult. i know i wont be able to make it :(

Weather looks good for both tomorrow, and the Saturday game. For anyone who missed it, Saturday is also going to be the postponed Legends of Roar short game with Matt Smith, Steffers, Jade North and many others we know. Kickoff for that at 1pm. Should be a great afternoon - especially followed by a win against Sydney!!!

I'm sorry, I'm not a Glory supporter. I just dislike the whiners in orange who change their opinions from  game to game. It seems that you people are the, were so hard done by, whiners.

Like no one else has had to go through this tight scheduling. Don't worry about Glory, let's look at WU and their journey of discovery over the last month. Are they whinging like you. Like it or not everyone from 5 down are also rans and that means you, too.

Well lads - here we are.

Tomorrow marks the first time the table will represent the actual place of everyone.

City and Jets will have a game in hand but that does not alter the table significantly. We will all have played 25 games and what we will finally see is The Table That Does Not Lie.

I have lost track of what our best side looks like, with injuries and the like, so I am going into tomorrow's game full of hope and expectation and wanting a bloody good game. Excited to be at this end of the season and still in with a chance of so much or so little.

Our last game was an off game for us, and we usually come back strong from that. Glory have found some form around their poor performances too.

Get to the ground if you can and let's make some noise.

Corey Brown was tired, Akbari and Brindel-South were superfluous on the field. Aldred is mentally very weak and for the last 3 -4 weeks he is not good enough mentally more than physically. The masters in the center of the field were Dorens, Ugarkovic, and Baggus. It is sad

Yep.So what should the plan be for today.

Win today. A week is a goodtime to get over tiredness and we need the players to be at their sharpest for finals rather than fat and well rested.

Lock in third place so when we beat Sydney in the second final game and Mariners or whoever beat the weakened City we get the grand final at home too.

3 teams on 39 points and GD being the decider for 5th and 6th. Funny that Macarthur dropped themselves a place losing by 3 last night.

A bad enough flogging for Mariners today and they could drop to 6th and be our opponents for final round 1. Not likely of course.

Some Interesting Facts.

1, If we win this game, We finish 3rd and presumably qualify for the championship again.

2. Even if we Lose, we still get a home final and could still finish third as long as Central coast do not win their last game.

3. If we win by 2 goals, we will have the best defensive record in the competition, otherwise we will have the second best defence in the competition.

4. If we win by 3 goals, we will have the second best attack in the competition (of those who have not been eliminated). if we win by less than 3 goals we will only have the third best).  

5.To add to the above, the main side above us from attacking point of view is Melbourne City, but they will be without the player who scored 25 of their goals.  Without him, that technically would makes us the best attacking and defensive side (well sort of technically anyway).

6. If we win the last game, we will have the best form over the last 5 games, of any team.

7 The two sides above us are Melbourne and Sydney.  But both have lost several of their best players to the socceroos.  We have lost nobody, Surely that would make us the favourites, wouldnt it?

Based on all those stats we should come third. But shows how close this season is where there still a big mix in who come 6 to 3. Also not a true run away leader until the last week's. 

Also we a better than most fans think. I just wonder if it's better to play city than SFC in the finals. They are really missing some key attacking players. But SFC is missing their goal keeper which is a massive hole.

Anyway what a great day for football, win or lose I'm looking forward to the game. Hopefully it's a full capacity as there no reason why it shouldn't.

Well that was a bit disappointing Sydney keeper had a blinder but we were still not good enough in the front 3rd I think. Worked hard but not smart enough.

I really don't see the point of Josh brindle south, I can't fault his effort but his final ball is terrible and he gave the ball up more times than keeping it today. At 28 when he keeps good youngsters out of the team that is not good enough. Earlier in the season we could have been playing Courtney Perkins CB and pushing Trewin or Neville to rb, now it looks like we will loose JCP because he wasn't getting game time. 

Brindell-South is generally great except for his crossing - which are normally way too high. He adds more to the attacking movement forwards, but often does much worse crosses than anyone else. He had a run of really good games where he was dangerous on the right, but he has drifted away form that effectiveness again in the last game or two.

We missed Akbari in the middle on our way forward. As we have seen in previous games where Daley has started instead of Akbari, we are a bit tighter in defence but a bit weaker bringing the ball forward.

Aldred and Gillesphey can hold the box better than our young defenders. ALF sneaking in and around whichever CB it was to almost head the ball home, the free header that hit the crossbar, and Kosta's drive towards goal when he scored are all scenarios where Aldred and Gillesphey have shone this season. Gillesphey's brilliantly timed slides to shut down shots like Kosta's have been a standout feature of Gillesphey's play all season. Speed and mobility against positioning, timing and body strength - I prefer the latter personally for my backline.

Perspective at Moreton Daily Stadium is totally stuffed in my eyes. I was sure we had players shooting from just past halfway only to realise that they were actually shooting from the edge of the box. When Danzaki hit the side netting I was sure he was shooting from inside the post and it was an impossible bend of the ball to have hit the outside of the netting - but the Kayo replay I watched back home shows him clearly inside the posts. Would rather be at the game than watching on TV, but I really get some weird perspectives during games.

any members have the details for tickets for the finals, it is meant to be on sale for members but i have not received any email on how to actually get tickets

Every time there is a members sale the process is late and sometimes twitchy.

Fourth place finish was very respectable and better than most pundits had predicted.  Hopefully the team gets off to a faster start in the finals series - they had a habit of looking like they were sitting back for the first 15 in a lot of games.

Thought I was going nuts, ready to get them tickets, normally there is a space you just enter your membership id on the ticketek website right, I don't see anything.
It does mention the membership presale at 10am, but nothing else. 

Damn - I have to go out and nothing on the tickets yet. Be hours before I can get on again and for all I know there will only be limited seats left by the time I do.

Yeah, but there is also usually a special members link to a 'members' ticketek page that allows it.

I have a feeling last time they were a whole day late with ticketing.

i messaged the club on facebook and they said we should receive an email in the next 30 odd minutes (and then gave a healthy spray to APL who are organising it)
