Damn right he is no David Dodd - as there is only one David Dodd.

Not sure about recently as I havent kept up but initially Dodd was doing great things in the QLD NPL as head coach.

I still recall a night at Suncorp where David Dodd played out of his skin, scored a goal and was clearly man of the match!! It was a surreal experience.

So looking at our schedule we have 4 Friday, 5 Saturday and 4 Sunday plus one Saturday which is being held in Cazaly’s Stadium, Cairns. Good schedule compared to last season, I checked the questionnaire for the regional game and it did have Cairns in the list, my bad.

Im not to happy with the fact we have 4 away games in a row. rd 8-11, even though cairns as counted as home, its far from it. It is not like the GC or MV playing in geelong so it may as well be home game, this is an away game. This is what killed the crowd numbers last season of having a massive break in home games.
also play the nix 3 times in the first 14 rounds before we even play MV once in rd 15.

I just don't get how anyone can think this is a fair draw, other teams have the exact same problem. How hard is it to play all the teams in the first 10 rounds.

Not sure where anyone gets the idea that the draw is anything but a way to manipulate commercial interests, same as everything else.

Looks to me like FFA have given up all hope of nursing Bakries through this. Must know he end is very nigh.

The commerical interests should be, and are, more important.

We are always going to get shafted around December because of the concerts :(. I was just talking about the actually days,more Saturdays than Friday and Sunday, no weeknight games etc. Yes you are right, It is frustrating that every season the same shit happens with teams playing one team 3 times before they meet another, it boggles the mind how they can not make a normal fixture. But we have to remember ACL fixtures as well and it seems they are helping them this season, go figure.

Yeah now they give them a helping hand in the fixtures for the ACL now that sydney and MV are playing. Forgot about the concerts, makes a more sense now, but still frustrating. Also a lot of our fixtures are afternoons which i have mix feeling about. It hot, but you can go out afterwards. I always prefer night games.

Sunday games a shit, nothing worse than paying $29 for skin cancer.

Think still need to add some midfield depth (especially a backup for Bratts) and a starting quality LB.

I expect by now many of you have seen, or are aware of, a media item over the weekend on a court action reportedly taken by the Queensland Rugby Union against our club.

Brisbane Roar FC is extremely disappointing another Queensland sporting entity would embark on such a direction when our club has been honest and transparent about the difficult circumstances we are currently working through with the assistance of independent accountants.

The fact remains that the club?s owners, the Bakrie Group, have poured more than $15 million into football over the past four years and most of this has gone into the Queensland economy ? which includes the Queensland Rugby Union which has been paid significant amounts for the use of its facilities.

We are working hard to resolve the current situation as quickly as possible.

Negotiations continue on the sale of Brisbane Roar FC. When the sale is finalised, all debts will be cleared.

As previously reported, the sale price has been agreed and we are awaiting confirmation on financing and an outcome associated to Football Federation Australia?s governance requirement on new ownership.

Our focus now is closing this sale and I appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter.

Hopefully the reported actions of the Reds have not damaged this position to the detriment of all creditors.

I would say Ross has more experience than John and has done alright in the state leagues.
