Northcote vs Knights it is! Should be a great game. Trent Rixon at AAMI Park... There's something we should see more often! Won't argue with you there.. !

I'll probably be there without the boss on Saturday. If so, I'll talk your head off.

If you're at the Cup final this Saturday don't hesitate to say hi. ;)

It was clear that Green Gully was going to win, they have more players with martial arts experience than Oakliegh.

hellas_johnny wrote:nhub you say that the goal should've been allowed because it wasnt offside, but if your going to go by that then you'd have to go back to the final against smfc where smfc were claerly robbed a goal when jesse clearly not offside. In the end gully came first in the league and were deserved winners. finals are bullshit anyways. Should be the team that comes first wins the league. Frankie Lagana was offside... I thought Jesse was offside too. All evens out in the end.

They actually closed off one side and one end of the ground as well.

I was in-line with it - Frankie was a yard off-side when the ball was knocked back in. Rough luck, but the correct decision. Rama shouldn't have been sent off for the headbutt, but should have been thrown out of the stadium for the way he 'simulated' afterwards to try and save himself!

I have to agree with you there Southmelb though I wonder if the lakeside stadium will still be too big? Perhaps the stadium at Whittlesea? I thought the headbutt was nothing though and that both players should have being booked for diving (which is what happened.) It would be better though if a crowd came along which could fill a large part of AAMI stadium. Its not impossible if the SNAFL and WAFL get large crowds for their grand finals. I watched a bit of the game on the FFV website. Can anyone tell me if the Mirrabella cup final will also be shown live?

Edited by nhub24: 4/9/2011 04:04:09 PM you should have had a player sent off for a headbutt just prior to the dissalowed goal though...Gully were a bit better under pressure. Hopefully its the last grand final we see at AAMI Park, venue is far too big...you would assume the grand final will return to the brand new lakeside next season.

crowd? What do you think about the FourFourTwo article Green Gully Win VPL GF? GREEN Gully have won back-to-back Victorian Premier League Championships, with a 3-2 win over Oakleigh Cannons at AAMI Park on Saturday night.Have your say.
