In a conversation with Bruce Eva on SEN, Geoff Lord stated that Ernie Merrick positon will be seriously looked at should Melbourne fail to win both their remaining ACL matches. He then went on to state that Kevin Muscat is a ready-made manager and is ready to manage a club perhaps hinting that he could be instated as head coach.

You could've put this through the proper way (Submit your scoop, under the subheading of news :) )

Haven't listened to SEN for ages now, ever since the A-League ended so I dodn't hear this interview. Sounds like finally G. Lord (pun) is waking up to what us fans have been screaming out for ages now. SACK ERNIE!!!! w00t!!!!

I hope that the board consider some other options before going straight for Muscat, IMO now's not the best time to be appointing a rookie coach, especially one who has been influenced by Merrick over the last 3 years.
