"Dutch player that's played in England and Scotland" apparently...
Hmm. Free agent. Big name. Striker. Would be perfect for them.

due to zahra out and taseski with a broken foot, the club is allowed an injury replacement.
I'm 100% certain the nationality of the player is Dutch and that he is a striker.
the only thing is that the board will have a vote on whether to sign this player or not. JVS has approached sidwell about it and sidwell is in full support of the signing. all that's left now is for the other board members to show their support an the signing should go through.

Great Vennegoor on Centrelink...
Actually I wouldn't mind this signing on two conditions: 1. Maycon was sent back to Brazil and 2. We signed a central defender as without any improvements down back - we're going to always have problems.
btw haven't we already reached our import quota? (Maycon, Terra, Fred, Worm, Germano) Would that mean someone might be shipped away?

Can't see this happening tbh.
And would Heart really want him? Scored 7 goals in 3 years and is turning 33 in a fortnight.....

I think you're just HOPING it doesn't happen ;) we're allowed to sign him as an injury replacement, even though we have filled te quota of visa players, it doesn't matter that he is an international. Perth glory have 6 visa players on their roster, because Andrezinho is their injury replacement player @whoever said we need to sign a defender, I agree with you to an extent, but with Bolton and Colosimo back in the team our defence looked 100x better against victory and I think Good is going to be a superstar. We've also got Hamill who is rated very highly, and as long as Colosimo is there with his experience, acting as a 'mentor' to Good or Hamill, we'll have a fairly solid defence IMO Edited by heart_fan10: 26/10/2011 09:40:06 AM

If true, I hope he joins after our match v Heart this weekend. He knows how to find the back of the net.

I thought Heart's NYL was the best the Y-League had ever seen - why aren't they pulling a striker out of there?
False promises from the Heart board to promote youth.

Looking at what we know about this player the club is looking to sign: - Dutch nationality - Plays as a striker - Has played in Scotland and in England Additional information (that supports this player signing) : - Must be a free agent in order for heart to sign - JVS personally knows JVOH from his time as manager of FC Twente, ALSO from his time as assistant coach of the Netherlands during when JVOH was capped for the national team find me another player who ticks all of those points Edited by heart_fan10: 26/10/2011 07:37:53 PM

But going by those points, it's very likely he is the player the club has targeted, so gotta be open minded about this and admit that there is a possibility of this happening Why are you denying it so much anyway? Are you scared that next derby it could ACTUALLY end up 4-0 win for heart? ;)

He is a great player great striker was int he premier league last i think blackburn or fulham ? but was on the bench before that was at celtic. he was a great striker aboit 10 years ago i dunno how much he has lost now though considering he has been a bench player the last 5 years now almost
