If this (an article about two Australian football teams) was moved, why are posts about overseas teams with one Aussie allowed to stay?
exactly. how every article on an aussie overseas is in the AF but two australian clubs in a friendly isnt AF, is just wrong.

Agree that moving this is not racist in anyway but as you can imagine a number of old NSL fans can't help to feel hard done by. Could you imagine if this ( VictoryvsHeartYouth) happened at a VPL game? This is a photo from the Victory vs Heart Youth game...hypocrisy, racism...helps put things into perspective. Slightly off topic but helps rationalise some of the emotions us old NSL fans harbor.

No, seating will be about 5,000, with total capacity at about 10,000. Not sure where you're getting your figures from.

After the crowds that Sydney Olympic v Sydney United pulled against each other this year, hopefully there will be another good turnout for South Melbourne v Sydney Olympic to keep the momentum going Funny enough, I just re-read this thread - I don't see negativity anywhere, from anyone. All I see are good wishes from the non South/Olympic fans, excitement from the pro South/Olympic fans, and some bitchy whining from some fans about this match between two state league teams being switched to the state league forum. Move along. Mate I said this website which means all forums in this website, not this particular forum

Ok next time two HAL clubs play a friendly in the off-season it can go in World Football, since they're not actually playing in the HAL but they're part of the world.

He knows, we ALL know, where your allegiances are, he's cringing at the "new dawn bitters" comment. The 'new dawners' aren't bitter. They have nothing to be bitter about - they have what they want. It's us, the supporters of the old clubs, who are bitter (to varying degrees).
As I've said elsewhere - there's no point in us trying to infer that the A-League isn't the premier competition, and there's no point in us pretending we don't want to be in the A-League (under the right circumstances) - it's our job to raise the standards and desirability of our clubs to the point where we are wanted rather than shunned... And attitudes demonstrated on this thread by 'old' fans demonstrate exactly why it's such a struggle for our clubs to move forward.

Whats everyones thoughts If they played at Belmore, then definitely 7 to 10K. Souths crowds have been awful the last few seasons.

im expecting 1500-2000...and lets be honest if it was played in sydney it would be the same or even less...those who wanna check out the stadium have all of next season to come down...i hope im wrong and everyone gets behind the game but at the end of the day its just a friendly...hell have both clubs even started pre-season yet? only time you will ever see 10k+ there is if South host a grand final.
