Peter Triantis got injured you say? I went to school with him for a short while. Very talented player, was playing with Olympic right through their youth set up. Had trials in England with a couple clubs a year or so back, obviously unsuccessful. Good little player though.
WOLLONGONG WOLVES FOR A-LEAGUE EXPANSION!

Heart and Olympic mixing freely throughout the day, no trouble anywhere, didn't see any police and any security presence was very low key.
Great day out. Heart and Olympic? Good news on the injury front with Peter Triantis not breaking his leg But had severe bone bruising, should be right for start of the 2012 NSWPL This is what I get for mixing with Melbourne Heart supporters whilst typing on 442 - I need shooting for that. :)

Weather held out well, facilities look great. Proud for all my friends at the club. this.......sounds par for the course Sounds like the South Melbourne fans need to come and watch some NSW Premier League games Most games in the NSW PREMIER LEAGUE have these kinds of tackles So do matches against Green Gully, but not usually in friendlies.

Geez it waS pleasnt to see all the politicians at the ground
Can't remember her name but announced the occasion as "Soccer's version of back to the future" and there is more to come - not sure what it meant but sounded very encouraging
Full marks to Olympic for their spirit and vigor - a rivalry is a rIvalry regardless of the occasion
I sincerely hope this becomes an annual event - the football quality was very good - better than some HAL games
The venue is top shelf and the pitch is like a billiard table
The sound system and video scoreboard engages the crowd and allows all the new fans to see just how deep-rooted this club is
Full marks to everyone
Round 1 cannot come quick enough

Heard someone saying he had broken his leg. Hope it's an easy fix and he's back in time for next season. Hate players missing games.

Olympic 3-2 South, people at the game said it was a decent game
Which Olympic player got injured/what player number? Peter Triantis, went diving into a challenge and hurt himself badly, obviously dont know the extent of the injury but for an ambulance to come it must have been bad, i have no idea why your players were trying so hard to be honest....what a waste if something like that was to rule him out for next season.

Edited by macedoniaisgreek: 8/12/2011 10:29:01 PM Sydney olympic 3 Def South melbourne 2 Olympic too good Thats all i have to say Did you go? Olympic deff slightly better but not by much, and from what other olympic fans at the ground said they started with their full 11, South kept Fernando, Joe Keenan and Gasparis out of todays game....first 10 mins were interesting though South should have been 3-0 up, took the lead 30 seconds in and Rixon missed 2 sitters that he would normally bury only minutes later, but Olympic played much better after that....should be said after Rixon made it 2-2 both teams made about 5 subs each and South reserve keeper made a mess of the 3rd goal...surprisingly rough game for a friendly, 40 minute halves as well:lol: As for the important part, wow what a venue, looks amazing.
