Need a new show to watch, I'm thinking Homeland at the moment. Thoughts?

A few annoying characters in that show, but it's very enjoyable.

I'd recommend it. I think they cocked up the ending though. I'll have to wait until I watch S2 to judge the show as a whole. I enjoyed it, though.

Get on Homeland, imo one of the best shows around once you come to terms with the fact it's really not grounded in any sort of realism.

Also could not recommend Justified enough if you haven't watched it, imo one of, if not the most underrated shows on television. Wonderfully written and directed with an absolute masterclass from Timothy Olyphant.

Homeland is awesome, just finishing S1.

I've just started watching House of Cards and am loving it thus far so I'd recommend that for sure if you're into an intriguing story, great writing and brilliant acting from Kevin Spacey. Initially I thought I'd struggle to get used to how Spacey breaks the fourth wall so often but his character portrayal and the quality of the writing is so great that you absorb it all with no worries.

This. Also could not recommend House of Cards enough. So fucked up by the end but so good.

Word has it he's going to be in only 5 episodes next season. so potentially he'll still be a reoccurring character in season 6 and the movie.

Another season of Vice is to be released. Here's hoping Fox 8 pick up the rights for it again. In the meantime I am revisiting old episodes to cure my addiction. Strongly suggest it to anyone who hasn't seen it.

Yeah I'm loving Vice too.

Just downloaded episode three of the new season of Suits, has been same old quality Suits thus far.

It is absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend checking out their YouTube channel.

+1 about the fox8 comment, I really hope they broadcast it again.

Good show but it has moments of dullness. As all shows do but I just find parts incredibly long.

So I caught an episode of Breaking Bad the other day and it got me hooked. In the space of a week I've now caught up to date with the current episodes. :( Such an amazing show.

Started watching Freaks and Geeks last night, you know that show that launched the careers of James Franco, Seth Rogen, Jason Segall and Jud Aptow. It's actually pretty good. It's a shame it only got one season but i'm looking forward to watching the rest.

Breaking Bad is my favourite show too, alongside The Wire and Game of Thrones which you should check out as well if you haven't already. ;)

Anyone who hasn't seen The Wire doesn't deserve to live.

I've not seen it, nor do I plan on seeing it. It's a very heavy drama with great acting but I just don't have the time available to invest in a show that is just going to leave me emotionally wasted.

Putting that much emphasis on a show just means you need to get out more.

So what is The Wire about? 8-[

The Wire is unreal, one of the most grippingly realistic acted and written dramas ever.

It's not always as enjoyable as the likes of Breaking Bad, GoT, Soprano's etc that rate alongside it in terms of quality, but it's well worth investing in for the quality of the writing, production and acting.

Haven't really seen it, but it's essentially about a Baltimore (?) drugs operation.

Yeah basically, it begins as a single sprawling murder investigation that ends up unraveling a big drug operation, it's created by crime journo's from Baltimore who've seen this shit first hand so it's essentially a gripping social commentary on the political and criminal environment of Baltimore. The way it's portrayed through the eyes of the cops at the heart of it, and the dealers on the streets is just pure brilliance though, it's probably the most realistic and well polished crime drama of all time.

Just finished S1 of Dexter, well and truly hooked.
