That episode of Arrow. Pwoah.

Been reading about it all day. So keen.

Did anyone watch the recent episode of Modern Family about Australia? So many cliche's and stereotypes even "a wild dog took my laptop!" The entire episode you couldn't help but think it is just a bid ad, even had the token qantas bit at the end.

Oh and incase anyone whas interested I'm pretty sure it was filmed at the national park in Kurnell... so south Sydney, hardly 'the bush'.

Finished off Community season 5.

Loved the final episode but it didn't have a big season finale feel about it, I thought.

There were some great moments in that season. I can't help but think they cut it short solely so they can reach the much beloved 6 seasons and a movie, though.

Also have acquired and am 2 episodes into TWD season 4. Great so far!

Yeah, season finale was a bit more sombre compared to previous seasons, but rather than give a Finale, it seems (to me anyway) that they're creating a linking story line, more of a season ending rather than Finale, to lead into the next season (and a movie).

Another great episode of Arrow. Keen as a particular brand of mustard for next week.

yeah definitely not the end I don't think. If it's a streaming service that picks it up, Hulu looks like the best bet.

I would like Netflix to get it. They have some great originals

Just watched the pilot of Fargo. Top bit of television. Martin Freeman really is a terrific actor.

Last night I watched Have You Been Paying Attention on Channel 10. Was a good laugh, I definitely recommend checking it out. Sam & Ed (from Total Football) were hilarious and while everyone was just trying their hardest to force the jokes, it worked on me as I laughed my arse off.

After Family Guy, American Dad, The Simpsons and Bobs Burgers all finished on the same night tv has been a bit thin
Recently finished was Mad Men, and Silicon Valley also just finished

Finished True Detective. Phwoar.

Watching Fringe Season 5 at the moment. Probably the best Sci Fi show ever made to date. Also threw on Lost Season 1 again and am enjoying it as much as I did back when it started.

I have officially given up on Game of thrones though, too many changes and deviations from the novel that I just can't get invested in it. I might try and finish Season 3 of Breaking Bad too. If I can get the baby to sleep the whole night.

Season 2 of Orange Is The New Black really jumped the shark.

LOVE that it's all available at once.

I thought that the writing and character quality took a massive drop since last season.

The only character with redeeming qualities is Poussey.

I made it to ep 3 of OINB, I couldn't take the terrible storyline and stereotypical women's prison story. Plus the fact that the lead character like in Weeds was a poor little white girl. it's as if Kenji can't write any other character but Nancy.

This show joins the Blacklist for most over hyped TV in my book.

I haven't seen OINB but in the case of Weeds it's kind of the main point that the whole series revolves around an upper middle class white house wife way out of her depth, it's what makes it unique and quirky, it simply would not work any other way. I don't know if you're complaining that the protagonist in OINB carries too many similar personality traits to Nancy, because as I said I haven't seen it, but to complain about getting bored by a stereotypical prison show, whilst criticizing the presence of an out of place white woman seems pretty fucking ridiculous on the surface of things.

Again, I haven't seen OINB so I can't comment, but what gave Weeds it's soul was taking such a safe staple of middle class life (the typical American soccer mom) and thrusting her into a whole new world (drug dealing) in which she has no right to belong. It takes such a seemingly safe and stale character and tests her by throwing her into these ridiculously out of hand situations. It seems to me that OINB is a continuance of this, but as an exploration of a different element of crime and society, and to expect anything else just seems rather ridiculous imo.

Also it's Jenji not Kenji by the way.
