I was the same, thought it would be absolute tripe but one of my housemates was always watching it so it became impossible to avoid and it didn't take long for me to get hooked, it's a big guilty pleasure of mine actually.

Finished Fargo last night and fuck me dead if that's not the best show on TV. I think it should just be given all the awards at the next awards show.

The only thing they didn't do well was the portrail of pregnant women.

I'm about half way through and I'm really loving it thus far, but imo it's nowhere near Breaking Bad or True Detective level yet, and it's almost a certainty that those two programs will dominate the Emmy's.

I often put Six Feet Under as "the level", but I just settle for less, or just deal with it with everything else

The Soprano's or The Wire are my standouts tbh but "the level" in question here is current TV programs that are eligible for this years awards, and it's hard to see anything getting between TD and BB for the lions share of the awards imo, in particular for the lead actor category in which Bryan Cranston and Matthew McConaughey are so far ahead of everyone else that it just seems unfair only one of them can win it.

The prime time emmy nominations are up

For his work on American Hustle and also Blue Jasmine, Louis Ck's "Louie" should be a shoe in to take out best comedy

But drama looks to be wide open with house of cards and breaking bad strong favourites

You can rest assured: Game of thrones aint winning that category :P

Its a huge change from the old days when I never got to see all the nominees on the cable networks. I used ti wonder what I was missing out on

Just finished Fargo, good show although I feel like its missing something.

I disagree, it was awesome from start to finish. It's been renewed for a second season too.

Of all the big shows, Breaking bad, Game of thrones, Boardwalk empire, this is the only one I've waited ep to ep to see.

I still haven't finished season 3 of breaking bad, I gave up on GoT after season 2 and Boardwalk I only watched 4 eps.

I have started reading Charles Bukowski and now all I want to watch is Californication, I ight start from Season 5 to skip the whole underage sex storyline.

Yeah I'd rate Fargo higher than Breaking bad and GOT. Think the acting was a notch above those shows and every ep had me hooked.

Been watching a myriad of cartoons with my daughter lately. Thankfully, she's a big fan of The Avengers and The Hulk.

The Leftovers. So fucking good.

Impractical Jokers. (Has this mentioned before?) Particularly seasons 2 & 3. Watch them all on youtube.

Season 1 is a not as polished as the following seasons where they seemed to have honed the idea a little bit more.

If you don't piss yourself laughing you've got a heart of stone.

I haven't seen this weeks ep yet but it took until last week for me to really connect with any of the characters and even then I can't help but feel that was because the entire episode followed his story arc. It's intriguing thus far but I'm hoping it picks up a bit more pace soon tbh.

Just ploughed through Brooklyn Nine-Nine, it was a really good watch.

Anyone watched the newsroom? Really rate it highly, keen for season 3 to start soon

I have started watching the Strain, Viral Vampire show. It has a whole different take on the vampire Methos and is pretty good. It is filmed like a cheesy B grade film so it's a little over the top a little hammy and based on a book or graphic novel by the same name (I can't remember which) Seems pretty good from one ep we'll see how it goes.

Still watching Falling Skies, I seriously think this would be a great show if it didn't feel so rushed. Great special effects, even the casting is pretty decent. It just seems to leap around too much and very much an American Fuck yeah! Fifth and final season has been confirmed and I'm hoping it is a good one that blows up half the cast.

Just getting started with Fargo, and onto Season 2 of Parks and Rec.

you're in for a treat! Parks and Rec really hit their straps in Season 2 and it just gets better each season. Rob Lowe who joins at the end of season 2 and main cast season 3 - 4 is hilarious.

Fargo, just see my above comments. Best new show IMO.
