That would be a shame for them to miss them only because of finances. Surely the IOC could do something.

An Iraqi aquiantance of mine, who knows members of the Iraqi FA, informed me that there is a strong chance that Iraq may have to pull out of the 2012 qualifiers because the Iraqi FA has run out of money - especially considering they have to host games in Qatar.
