Given that you got together so young, she is probably trying to 'find herself' - cheesy as that sounds. She knows she needs to get away from her source of dependancy (you), but lacks confidence to face the world alone (hence the new BF, and the actions consistent with keeping you on the back burner).

Her issues can only be solved by her. I honestly think you are best off minimising contact, finalising the separation, giving all her stuff back and just being cordial but platonic in your interactions with her.

Her problem is one of lacking her own identity as an adult. So unfortunately you can't help her resolve those issues.

I went to an all boys Catholic school and so many guys got married young, then the relationship fell apart after 5-7 years in almost exactly the same circumstances faced by you. Sometimes it was the guy, sometimes the girl.

It's not your fault. It's just how different people react psychologically to relationships formed at a young age.

To be honest, if you embrace the single life and sow some oats, that may help change your perspective and make you feel less responsible or less involved with her issues.

How is balls being supported natural in any way? A billion scientific studies have shown that freeballing and the access to fresh air and therefore lower temperatures around them improves sperm count as well.

I really don't even understand why there is even a need for guys to wear underwear. It makes absolutely no sense unless you can't shake properly after going to the loo. It's the closest to natural there could possibly be, haha.

So after posting that, I decided to give it a go. And I haven't looked back!

She was a bit of a head case when I met her but I looked past it, despite her dragging me through the mud I do everything right by her. I feel as if I have to as I was her husband. She refuses to get help and she's surrounded herself with people who barely know her. But even her family aren't getting involved, they are just letting her do it. Hopefully she doesn't ruin herself.
