Football in Australia is where it is because of people like you Batfink!
You support Parra because your son is there, why don’t you do the right thing and pay membership at your club? Clubs are about community and they need money to run, some of that money comes from sponsors and members.
On the subject of BWE supporters (do not call them ultras, please) singing and abusing your team, there is two ways of getting back at them: 1st/ Win the game 2nd/ Bring your supporters and sing louder
Now this is what really happened at the game. I was there for the football game that I really like, I’m a member of my club and a season ticket holder, I played the game, coached and my son is also playing I also volunteer with many duties at my club. I agree with Sydney Croatia (never thought of saying this, please never mention it that we agree on something) that if my son played for the other club he’ll be my enemy for the 90min.
This is how I saw the day and this is my version of the event: U18 Great game BWE v Parra 3:1
U20 Excellent game BWE v Parra 1:0 hard physical game, could have gone the other way, really sorry for D Han hurting his shoulder and your defender that was stretched of (how is he?) he was brilliant in holding the defence, hope nothing serious.
1st grade: Great start from both teams BWE have all the possession and a couple of chances, Parra very disciplined and organised holding the shape, fast counter attack through the left and shot on goal. Parra’s away jersey is terrible to read the numbers, BWE have more chances through H Gaitatzis who passed 4 players to have a shot but the goalkeeper is excellent. BWE got the brake from a free kick and keeper dropped the ball in the path of M Long who scored, ten minutes later A Canak pinched the ball from the left defender passed it back to H Gaitatzis who tried to chip the keeper from about 35 meters and full credit to the keeper’s brilliant save. Both teams played great considering they played mid week and appeared tired. What is up with this Waratah Cup, what is the hurry? Another game mid week this Wednesday. BWE had all the possession, more corners, more shots on goal and 1:0 never looked safe as Parra did look capable of equalising.
Batfink did you coach you number 3 who had two foul throws?
Crowd about 500, cevapis great! That was a great day to enjoy football if you know how to appreciate the game, otherwise be a typical Aussie reporter who on the news brings you the riots footage but forgets to mention the result. Saturday lunch time on 2UE I heard that Australia played Croatia and lost 3:1 only to find out later that Croatia played Estonia.

This is where clubs need to show these minority the door. Peer group pressure can be tried but it appears they do not even respect their own peers otherwise they wouldn't behave as such.
Show them the door...

A draw would have been the fair result in my opinion, but that's football.
Some nice banter between the fan groups which made for interesting viewing.
Unfortunately after there was a bad tackle by APIA no. 9, the United ultras completely lost the plot. Then the threats started, with spitting at players, threatening them, throwing sticks at them as they were playing, even one fan screamed out that he "wanted to rape your Mum" at an APIA player and when D'Apuzzo was being stretchered from field they chantgin "hope your children gets AIDS". Let's not get started on them trying to enter the playing arena to attack the players following the game.
I am certain the older United fans were extremely embarassed and disgusted. Even their president Sam K was very apologetic after the game, and they can be thankful that exists an excellent relationship between Sam and Tony R that will mean that no complaints will be made by APIA.
One thing to cheer on your side, but the threats and attacks became much more personal, racial and violent.
Not even the most stanuch United fan can defend their actions of yesterday.
Edited by ralerasic: 28/5/2012 09:18:10 AM oh they will. were all overreacting remember just like when i noted the poor behaviour of a small minority of their fans when they played us both this year and last year, and i stress small minority. they have no place at a PL game or any game of football. It was only about 5-6 of them. The balance were respectful.

Anyway, good win today after a few poor weeks. Vital 3 points
It was great to see Pavlovic back, he's exactly the kind of player we've lacked

Funny how the clubs with these types of fans still tend to get bigger crowds than those without 'foul' language not to concerned about crowd size, i only support parra because my son plays there....simple.... and you could double or triple your crowd size if you brought along your wife girlfriend or daughters and sons, it is about watching the game, win lose or draw it's about football......if the opposition score a great goal or their keeper pulls off a great save it should be applauded....no foul language, no booing or aggressive behaviour......... you seem only interested in who wins, who has the biggest crowd or who is the best club......football is way bigger than that..... when you beat a team you love to rub there nose in it....but when you lose you hate it if they do the same to you.....childish immature behaviour...... ](*,) ](*,) will you support the new western sydney wanderers???? and attend their games???????

LOL, had to throw that in ;)  That cracked me up no end when I heard it. I had that tune stuck in my head for hours after the game. Something to do with having it drummed in I suppose LOL.. Batfink, I haven't read a match report of the Parra game, so settle ol boy. I'm just going by the scoreline which indicates a 1-0 loss to bonnyrigg at bonnyrigg is a pretty good result considering bonnyrigg have been pumping everyone, well mostly everyone by 2-3 goals this season. Doesn't help the points but it's not a bad result for GD. Edited by Aussiesrus: 27/5/2012 12:21:56 PM yeah was a good result, but the boys were flat....still cant complain...they are improving bit by bit and for a very young team they are playing some good football......the position on the table doesnt bother me....to me its about if they are improving and working hard as a team and playing well.....so its all good.....i see blacktown got a win over wolves....so once again im going to harp about 2 points lost........\:d/ :d

It's football... you cant go to the football not expecting to hear bad language Wrong.....it's not football.....its a bunch of rednecks with no respect for anyone else.....hooligan behaviour...the worst you get at rugby league is a chant from the crowd calling the ref a wanker....... sorry people like you are the reason football is in the state its in.....last night the crowd was just about all male, because women dont feel comfortable there, and fathers dont want their daughters subjected to abusive language and behaviour.....thats why your team and bonnyrig cant even play a game in public.....disgrace.....

Get over it. If you dont like the language used then dont sit near them.
doesnt matter where you sit you can hear it all over the ground......and it's inappropriate for wives and daughters to be subjected to that language.... as far as the match reports, they are suppose to represent the whole match, not just one team.........so the reader can get a picture of how the game played out, well below last years reports....
