And plenty more I can think of. There is no shortage of talent that's for sure.

Will be interesting to see what the future holds. But with 5 months to get it all happening I don't have a lot of faith in rushed decisions.

Kabsy is loyal trooper and has been given first team experience for mariners pre-season, I don't know what type of contract Kabs is on but Arnie will fight tooth and nail to keep him at the mariners. I think Kabs will stick with mariners and Arnold because Arnie recognised Kabs and gave him his first break in NYL and saw Kabs talent when no other team showed interest. Arnie is a shrewd judge and a great coach for developing players.

Popovic has been overseas and hasn't been in touch with the youth talent or NSWPL sides for years and 5 months to get re-acquainted isn't long enough to get a thorough handle on things. Also when you consider Milicic is in the same boat being in melbourne for a few years they are both flying blind with respect to West Sydney talent.

Anyways we shall see what comes. I just hope my greatest fears don't become reality with respect to the WS team. It's been too rushed already.

personally i think the scouts in australia are fucken usless......so if i was poppa id be doing the hard yards myself, there his balls on the table.....

He has a 4 year contract and a pretty decent wage I'd imagine... I'd say the only balls on the table are the FFA's :lol:

Tezza is up here a lot. He was only coaching/playing in the league 3 years ago so he'd know quite a bit about some of the established players.

He'd know enough about who to look out for as well. Goes for Popa too... he spends a lot of time at United matches, even before the appointment

I can't believe players take any of the stuff written here seriously. I kind of follow your story as I have a young bloke in an academy side and am quite interested to see how your son ends up or what his next move will be. I quite like that all these fringe players are getting gigs at smaller leagues in asia. It reminds me of all my league mates that didn't get graded going to france and england to play in a semi professional setup. They still got to do what they loved just for less money and they got to see different parts of the world as well.

A lot changes in 3 years. 3 years ago under 18's and 20's are completely different sides today. This is where he would be looking for NYL players for the upcoming season.

3 Years in the first grade ranks can also be quite a large change.

once again the match report doesnt go anywhere near accurate......every report for every team is slanted towards the home team or eventual winners.......

Only thing accurate was that parra were below par about 40% below previous games......not sure why.....also interesting to note that these ultras or supporters groups are allowed to use the worst language out and its acceptable....we had 2 jananese exchange student with us and the Bonnyrig ultras were chanting "fuck parra fuck you, fuck Parra fuck you" and when we took corners they chanted "para are faggots, parra are faggots" never going to get football in this country popluar with behaviour like that, how can you attract families....and i had my 14 y/o daughter and wife with me......really pathetic.....

as far as the match reports, they are suppose to represent the whole match, not just one team.........so the reader can get a picture of how the game played out, well below last years reports....

I haven't read a match report of the Parra game, so settle ol boy. I'm just going by the scoreline which indicates a 1-0 loss to bonnyrigg at bonnyrigg is a pretty good result considering bonnyrigg have been pumping everyone, well mostly everyone by 2-3 goals this season. Doesn't help the points but it's not a bad result for GD.

and you could double or triple your crowd size if you brought along your wife girlfriend or daughters and sons, it is about watching the game, win lose or draw it's about football......if the opposition score a great goal or their keeper pulls off a great save it should be applauded....no foul language, no booing or aggressive behaviour.........
