Arsenal have built nicely over the window. Podolski and Cazorla are 2 very good signings.

I'm not sure how they fit into the team with Gervinho, Walcott and Arshavin (though I expect the latter to depart).

Podolski will most likely play on the left, but him, Theo and Gervinho will rotate. Cazorla, if he comes, will be playing through the middle, most likely as the most advanced midfielder just off the striker.

Sign Central Midfielder - play him on the left wing. (Rosicky)
Sign left winger - play him in central midfield. (Cazorla)

Seems like the Wenger way.

Tbh, I think you'll get the most value out of Cazorla in the wider positions.

He's fast, he's got great touch. And he can put the ball in on a dime from free-kicks and crosses. He's far more useful out wide than through the middle.

Pretty sure Rosicky was played in central midfield nearly all of last season?

He played about half his games down the left. The only time he played in the middle was when Ramsay was out.

Of the 28 league games Rosicky played last season, 5 were played in wide positions(3 left, 2 right)

Well at least that's according to http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/tomas-rosicky/leistungsdaten/spieler_132_2011.html

That same site has Cazorla playing 11 games in the middle, 13 out on the right and 8 games on the left. That's of the 32 games they have for him, there's 6 games that don't have what position he played. So really, playing him in the middle isn't that crazy.

http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/santi-cazorla/leistungsdaten/spieler_15799_2011.html

They're gonna have to hurry up and find someone, because at the moment going into their first game of the season their only first team strikers are Defoe and Harry Kane.

At the turn of the century, the 'billionaire accessory' was racehorses. Today, it's football clubs. And Much like when it was racehorses, success is proportionate to investment. Most of these people want to 'own' a football club without realising just how hefty the financial commitment to the club is.

You don't get rich by throwing your money about, you get rich by being frugal. And for every Roman Abramovich out there who throws his money at whatever he wants, there's a Steve Jobs whose wallet is tighter than a fishes arse.

PSG has agreed to a deal Wednesday with Sao Paulo to sign Brazilian international midfielder Lucas Moura in January.

Lucas Moura, 19, has already been capped 15 times for Brazil. He will make the switch on a transfer fee reported to be near $40 million, although no official amount was released.

The midfielder has agreed to a four-and a half year deal with PSG, which inked Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Ezequiel Lavezzi, and Thiago Silva previously this summer. PSG has spent well over $200 million on transfers in just over one year.

"Paris Saint-Germain and Sao Paulo FC have reached ... an agreement for the definitive transfer of (Lucas Moura)," read a statement on PSG's website. "By signing a young talent of the quality of (Lucas Moura), Paris Saint-Germain is already preparing the future."

Lucas Moura is currently playing with the Brazilian Under-23 Olympic team, and will play in the Gold Medal game against Mexico on Saturday. He will return to Sao Paulo for the rest of the Brazilian club season before joining PSG.
