I doubt they'd get Essien. Alex would be a good buy. I think they were close to signing Adebayor in the summer so that could go through. I'd be disappointed to see these players leaving the EPL.
I think they'll be very tight with their manc millions. I doubt they'll do a massive overhaul. They mightn't even buy a player this Jan. In the summer I think they'll only buy 2 or 3 players. Then they'll keep a little left over to rebuy Kaka when he cracks the shits and leaves.
I can see the Kaka deal being put off until summer.

I think Adriano would be a revelation at Chelski if he swaps with Drogba it'll be a win/win situation for both teams (drogba/ibra, anelka/adriano). If that happens expect players like Crespo, Malouda and Kalou to all move to smaller clubs such as Everton, Tottenham or Roma.

Expected those 3 to move anyway, to be honest. Adriano as target man would be more beneficial for Anelka than himself IMO.

I would love to see Adriano revive his career in the EPL because he was so promising. Milan have Gourcouff out on loan and he is in fine form so they can recall him to cover the loss of Kaka if need be

from the daily mirror website.... Everton want to take Jermaine Pennant on a free from arch-rivals Liverpool this summer.
Liverpool will let the star out on loan this month if he signs a one-year extension to his contract and is wanted by Portsmouth .
But Pennant, 26, is refusing to be pressured into a new Anfield deal and intends to move on a Bosman. He could snub AC Milan for a move across Stanley Park.
and also
Elyaniv Barda has accused Genk of trying to block his move to Everton after the Belgian club put a £3.5m price on his head.
The 27-year-old, who moved to Belgium from Hapoel Tel Aviv last season, is desperate to play in the Premier League despite recently signing a new deal with Genk.
"The truth is I don't know if I'm worth £3.5m," he said. "I think Genk went over the top.
It could be they threw out a price so high so I wouldn't leave."

Benjamin said Pennant had a large loyalty payment if he played out his Liverpool contract. Pennant will sit on the bench for the next 6 months, collect this payment then fuck off wherever he likes. He seems like that kind of guy.
