Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Shay Given looks certain to join Manchester City in the next 24 hours after failing to show for training this morning.
Given has put in a transfer request and wants to seal a £8 million switch to Eastlands before Monday's transfer window shuts.

The former Celtic and Blackburn keeper who has been at St James Park for 11 years is believed to be in the north west sorting personal terms and his medical.
