I think you're being a bit harsh on Azza in particular.

Discourse in this thread has never been great and used to be dominated with partisan "right wing" hacks that like batty, rusty and lukerobinho with everyone else groaning about how ridiculous their bias was. Now we have a couple of "left wing" hacks.

Sunrise, sunset.

But none of these blokes even post in the "football" part of the forum. I mean the hint's in the title.

It's like Bill Shorten has paid out pocket money to a few wannabe junior union headkickers or Labour student pollies to post here.

Because there's rules on where people should and shouldn't post?

Maybe the signed up to specifically post in this thread.

Problem?

It is a bit odd if all you're interested in is politics to post here rather than some other more appropriate places but if it floats your boat... why not

I've actually seen posts from all of them in AF but if you're not interested in battling nickk and adrtho on the PFA, baiting paulc on the Brisbane Roar saga or arguing over socceroos of yore then there's not really much going on in there

Translation "Tony Abbott was a technology illiterate"

It will be interesting to see how much influence the conservatives will have on the moderates in the Liberal Party and how much internal conflict Malcolm must undergo to do things which he knows are not in our nation's long term interests.
The great thing about us lefties, we don't fear what this Scott Farquhar talks about!

Yeah and I've got a bridge you might be interested in buying. Politically active hacks search out football forums to post partisan rubbish rather than 1 of the million or so political websites available elsewhere.

Mr A Bolt would love to see you over at his site if you're interested in an argument.

They're either all multi's (likely) that are too gutless to post as themselves (which is kind of ironic see you're pretty much anonymous) or they're stooges looking to get browny points off Albo or Shorts.

trident posts in AF. He's clearly a Sydney fan. So does Azzamvfc and Scotch and Coke.

Haven't seen murdoch rags post in there yet.

There are people who frequent ET more than AF and you're one of them. Nothing wrong with that.

Another is benelsmore, for e.g. Both good contributors.

There has been a recent bout of newbies come into the forum lately which is good. This has been because KA lifted the ban on newcomers a few months ago. A ban that was in place to try and halt the spam.

During that time we had no newbies for a long time.

Whether in Parliament or the workplace, let's call out the narcissists among us

Narcissistic personality disorder affects between 1 per cent and 6 per cent of the population (predominantly males), with significantly higher rates in certain subcultures....

...If it is true, as Brendan Nelson purportedly claimed, that Malcolm Turnbull is a narcissist, he is in good company. According to American expert on the subject, Professor Jerrold Post, narcissism is widespread among politicians....

...The inability to empathise means that narcissistic politicians cannot feel compassion for fellow citizens, including those less well off than themselves. Disadvantage may be perceived as the fault of the individual, and those who cannot afford housing, health or education might be told to work harder or get a better job.

Yeah I asked him politely why I hadn't seen him post about football as I was curious what would motivate someone to do that here but didn't get a response. Then a few days later he posted that.

I don't really see the issue with him though, he doesn't attack any other posters personally.

There are 2 Azzas on here - AzzaMarch and AzzaMVFC...

Not sure which Azza is having grenades thrown their way???

I don't get what the issue is though - its a public forum, I don't get why anyone would by arguing why people should or shouldn't be posting. Its just a weak Ad Hominem attack. Play the ball not the man I say!

About 75% of my posts are in ET, 20% in World Football and 5% is AF.

Simply because my A-League team (Gold Coast United) folded and I cannot stand the shit sligning contests that go on in a lot of the threads. Also, I read most of the AF threads, especially the overseas Aussies thread, I just don't post.

Well that's what blokes with chips on their shoulder might say.

You can read into what she said in 2 ways. The chip bloke will see it as a "gender card" the other bloke will note it as an interesting observation.

It's hard to argue with some of what she said.

This for example: "If I was a guy, I wouldn't be bossy, I'd be strong."

"If I was a guy I wouldn't be a micromanager, I'd be across my brief, or across the detail."

She has a point. There'll be clowns jumping all over this saying she's piss weak for this and rubbish for that but it says more about them than her.

After all she is a woman and if someone asks her a question along the lines of "how do you think being a "woman" impacted on your role" why can't she answer honestly if that's what she thinks and that's what her experiences have borne out? Do you really want all of these people to play dead bats the whole time?

A summary of Tony Abbott's Liberal Party lies

Quote:

Since its establishment in August 2013, ABC Fact Check has checked 34 claims made by Mr Abbott.

Six of these claims were made as opposition leader, with a further 28 made after Mr Abbott became prime minister.

Out of the 34 of Mr Abbott's claims that were tested, Fact Check determined 11 of them (32.25 per cent) to be in the red, or negative verdicts.

By contrast, only four (11.76 per cent) of Mr Abbott's claims were determined to be in the green, or positive.

But far and away the largest amount of verdicts returned for Mr Abbott were neither positive nor negative, but "in between" (orange).

Mr Abbott has returned 19 (55.88 per cent) in between verdicts....

....Not only did we test what Mr Abbott said, we also tracked what his government did.

Our Promise Tracker tracks 78 promises that the Coalition made before the election, dividing them into four statuses: delivered, broken, in progress and stalled.

At the end of his term, Fact Check has determined that Mr Abbott delivered 16 promises, and broke 14.

Who could forget when Mr Abbott won the inaugural Golden Zombie, the prize for the incorrect claim of the year which keeps coming back to life?

Mr Abbott won the award for his claim that the previous Labor government "ran up a $667 billion dollar debt".

Fact Check first explored this topic in a Joe Hockey claim from August, 2013.
