Le sigh why do I bother.  You're just a typical internet troll who gets his jollies off by trolling anonymously.   Pretty sad . You have no interest in politics at all besides telling everyone they're wrong.  Typical aikhme

Sorry but I am not. You made a stupid statement that I believe I am goingto somehow make 1 iota of a difference by posting here or calling unhinged Shortfused names. I am intelligent enough to know that isn't the case. I could however hand out how to vote cards or do letterbox drops and that could make a difference.

I post here because I am a soccer fan and because I enjoy participating on this forum, not to troll anyone. I do not like Shortshanked (Obvious) because he is dangerous for this country. We will go down and very fast.

You also claim I don't have an interest in politics., That is another lie. I have always been interested in politics from a very young age because politics has affected my life a lot more than most people. I am from Israeli and an Israeli citizen so you can imagine how my life has been impacted with politics. I have also been politically active in politics most of life, being up until recently a paid member of one of the 2 major parties. When I was young, I use to support Labour so I am not one eyed, which is another accusation you leveled against my character. I supported the likes of Bob Hawke and Paul Keating. Those were the days when the Labor Party was sensible and coherent with great policies for the mainstream working classes. Nowadays, the Lasbor Party under Shotfused has gone feral left to attract the Green Preferences. who are the most dangerous and unhinged political movement in Australia. Now before you level anymore accusations against me, I am an environmentalist. I believe we need to look after this planet, but Green Policies will destroy us economically. We need to be realistic with achievable aims and goals.

I have been interested in politics for a long time. I am also a member of a pro Israeli Lobby group these days which is very strong and lobbies Government so I get exposed to all the big politicians from time to time as well. I do that because as a Christian, we have been protected by the Israelis for the first time in history we are able to express ourselves, practice and be free without fear of being killed. I had also served the IDF as a soldier.

So no, I am not being a troll. I am just expressing my true opinions on the election and passing comment in the appropriately named thread which is about "Australian Politics" and we do have an impending Australian Election.

I don’t read traditional media let alone the Murdoch Press and Media.

I get get information from the community, and non traditional sources and the net.

I have not watched the news for about 10 years.

I have rubbed shoulders too for the last 10 or so years. Also, I have broke bread with many of them.

I am what you would call a political tragic and a lobbyist too. I am part of one of the most powerful and influential lobby groups in the Americas, Europe and Australia. I have been to Congress as well with our American counterparts.

I can't be bothered scrolling up to read every post but surely there aren't more Shorten supporters on this forum than there is for Morrison.
I wouldn't call myself a liberal supporter myself because I think they are pretty bad themselves, especially while Turnbull the clown was in charge, but surely when compared to Shorten there simply isn't anyone thinking Shorten will do a better job for Australia than Morrison.

I'd say approximately 50% of the population (+ or - 3%) think Shorten will do a better job.

And if those polls are true that really scares me. I just don't see how anyone could truly think that is the case.

I think the people who dont rate shorten are same ones who think scomo is doing a great job. Like my coworker who is so beholden to the lnp he cant see that scomo and the lnp are so broken and rely on scare tactics. Coworker also claimed he isnt a nationalist but is patriotic.  Whatever that means

I'm not one who thinks Scott Morrison is doing a great job at all. I'm just one who thinks he has no competition in Shorten.

Obviously I think I'm 100% right, and those that disagree with me would likewise think they are 100% right.
As I said earlier I just can't see anything good in Shorten or the labor party in a long time and can't understand how anyone could think they are the right choice.
However I will say that regardless of who wins I'm not one to be frightened of the change that would occur in my life. Even if Shorten wins the election I don't think my personal life would change much or at all, but overall for the country as a whole I'm pretty certain he'll leave it in a much worse position financially then Scott Morrison would.

I think Shorten is a joke and I've said so plenty of times here.  He is going to Bradbury his way into the Prime Ministership.  He's never had a real job in his life.  I think Albo or Penny Wong would be a far better pick.  (Though she'd need to move houses.)

I also don't think my life will change that much following the election.  All these people talking about how the sky will fall in are just a bunch of chicken Littles.  Very little will change for the average person.

Having said that I don't think people earning over $180k should be paying less tax as is proposed under Morrison's tax changes.  If there's a major difference between the parties this is a big one for me.  I think 45 cents in the dollar is more than fair and if that gets lowered the billions they would have collected will have to come from cuts to services.  So I'm definitely against that.

Lowering taxes for super high earners is idiotic in my opinion as the money that was collected for roads, hospital, the PBS, education etc has to come from somewhere to make up the shortfall.  As is the argument that people won't be ambitious because taxes are too high.  Uh huh.  Because someone earning $300k a year is not going to go for that job promotion at $400k a year because his tax rate is going to go from 45 cents in the dollar to 45 cents in the dollar.

Spot on Rob. Morrison looks far better than Shortfused.

Turnbull was a total clown and if he was still leader, it would have been disastrous. But ScoMo just looks to be far better. More down to earth, more intelligent, more charismatic and better and more sustainable economic policies. I'm not anti Labor as I could support them if they had the likes of Hawke or Keating who I thought were great leaders for Australia, but they have gone all feral.

I actually believe Hawke and Keating will be rolling their eyes because of Shorty.

There is nothing wrong with being patriotic.

It's not so much a scare campaign but real questions about Shortfused policies which would be debilitating on the economy.
'
No one really is beholden to the LNP or Labor anymore, except for the ideologues. It's about who will be the better leader for Australia. there are 2 choices: Shortfused or ScoMo.

Personally, I am with Rob on this. Shorten is probably the most cringe-worthy politician since Clive Palmer.

I find it scary that some people actually think Shortfused is suitable.

I think most people who vote don't really know what they are voting for or the policies. They are voting blind.

Most people are more interested in MKR than politics, so they end up voting labor or LNP because there parents voted that way or because Labor is for the working class, and LNP for the Farmers and small business.

You are very dumb. I said I was on the executive committee. i didn't say I was an executive.

An executive is someone who works for a company, corporation or business.

An executive committee is a panel in charge of a non-profit organization, NGO or group like ours. We raise money, but we are non-profit or use our money to lobby Government and build relations between our 2 countries or to assist with the resettlement of people.

2 different things.

Duh!

Anyways, let the children talk in the corner.

Watergate is starting to get traction finally, but unlikely that even the ALP would call a Royal Commission into the Murray-Darling scheme seeing as they were the ones that set it up.

Probably. There's been so many dodgy deals, particularly in the last 3 years:
1. $400 million to the Great Barrier Reef
2. Paladin
3. Helloworld Travel

and now Watergate. We really need a Federal ICAC.
