+x+xTrump releasing a Taliban terrorist who turned his gun on his allies, murdering three Aussie soldiers, and Scomo is too much of a simp to Trump to stand up to him about it. If this was a Labor government standing by while a murderer of Australian soldiers walked free the Murdoch rags would be up in arms on the front page, but instead it's gone through the 24 hour news cycle almost unnoticed. So true. Where's Rusty when you need him? He'll turn up when Labor does something. Hell suprised he hasn't come back to blame andrews for a security guard in Sydney

+xIs Daniel Andrews still Premier? Why hasn’t this clown stepped down yet? Why are they and the media trying to cover up the link to the BLM protests? We had Covid under control. Life was returning to normal. Our national economy wasn’t going to sink. Then the Left decided to go and fuck everything up. Blood on their hands. I have relatives over there and a lot of them are fed up with Dictator Dan.
He has really screwed things up in Victoria and the state has become a basket case. The economy is a total train wreck, record unemployment, suicide, domestic violence so it should be no surprise Dictator Dan will not get his power grab bill through parliament.
Plukaduck and Marshmallow mellow are the same but Diktator Dan takes the cake 🧁 in stupidity.

Scomo's attacks on Dan Andrews and his undermining of any solidarity in this crisis with Victorians is akin to Churchill in WWII saying to Scotland 'why aren't you more like England', you're on your own.
He has the perfect opportunity to act like a statesman and enhance his reputation but can't help returning to type and trying to score the cheap political point. The undermining of the Victorian governments and health authorities messages is probably the single greatest threat to some sort of return to 'normality; in Victoria.
Now if he could actually look after Aged Care (forget the past - fix the future) and have a word with Josh the work experience kid and tell him that austerity in a deep recession is the last thing we need things may just turn around.

Like Goebbels said, if you're going to tell a lie, tell a big one and stick to it. Murdoch is simply on an all-out offensive on Andrews. Hopefully the silent majority of Australians aren't falling for this garbage.

All of it stinks, it'd be good if some premiers from other states (bi-partisan please, looking at you Stephen Marshall) came out and said that Victoria were doing the right thing and that we'd like to be able to open borders with them to free up business and the economy but they need to get down to the extremely low numbers the rest of the states have.

I only just realised that the federal government also extended their emergency powers a week ago: https://www.health.gov.au/ministers/the-hon-greg-hunt-mp/media/human-biosecurity-emergency-period-extended-by-three-monthsWhere was the outrage in the mainstream media for that? The hypocrisy is just so blatant.

But it's only 3 months. If they add another 3 months in December, that's reasonable. /s

Every state re-did their emergency powers lol, only people whinged about Victoria. Every state HAS to as well, it's the emergency powers that give them ability to force COVID safe plans @ restaurants, seating limits etc etc. -PB

There's enough lefty media who should have picked that up, obviously not important to them. How's this, Vic Gov never stops Curfew alone is raking in $162,000 a night in fines. From about 8.30pm at night there's a regular stream of light planes and helicopters patrolling the metro area. Industry groups and leaders are now kicking his doors down for discussions. What a absolute joke due to so few doing the wrong in the big picture in Melb and more so leadership down. A mess (hopefully over soon and in control), so sorry for the abiding Vics and the many small business losing their investment and jobs. Its so easy to play the Scomo game as well, I agree he should be far more a leader but the same applies for State Prems.

Yep NSW were issuing exorbitant fines for breaching COVID restrictions as well when they were in lockdown. We love a bit of authoritarianism in this country and it happens with governments of both major parties.

+xThat nbn backflip though, im happy, but still, should’ve just done it originally. Have to pay for the connection from the kerb. Plus current FTTP plans are similar in price to FTTN plans. There will be about a 50% premium on top of that for these plans. Glad it is being fixed - but the MTM rollout was a monumental waste of time and money. Added to which if we had continued with the original plan the Fibre backbone could have been used as the 5G backbone and made the NBN a profit.

There are only two intellectually honest debate tactics: (a) pointing out errors or omissions in your opponent’s facts, or (b) pointing out errors or omissions in your opponent’s logic. All other debate tactics are intellectually dishonest - John T. Reed
